PTX-007-01 Gespenst Mk-II
The first of the PTX-007 Gespenst Mk II series, Unit 01 was designed for ranged combat and mobility. Like its sister units, it did not possess any Extra Overtechnology systems or weapons, but relied solely on regular Earth technology.
The Gespenst Mk II R-Type and S-Type were built as test units in the development of the mass-produced RPT-007 Gespenst Mk II M-Type. The R-Type focused on a high-mobility role, while the S-Type was built for sheer firepower. The R-Type was armed with a Mega Beam Rifle for ranged assaults, as well as the deadly "Slash Ripper" remote weapons. These were little more than smart, guided blade projectiles that could easily shred grunt units into ribbons.
The R-Type was assigned to Major Gilliam Jaeger of the Earth Federation Special Forces, being suited to his quick and deadly hit-and-run combat philosophy.
