MSA-0011 [Bst]

Deep Striker

The modular design of the MSA-0011 S Gundam allows Anaheim Electronics to develop countless variation plans. Variations based on the standard S Gundam are classified as the 100 series, while those based on the [Ext] and [Bst] forms are classified as the 200 series and 300 series respectively. Most of these variations are never actually built or tested, and are ultimately just "paper plans." One such example is Plan 303E, also known as the "Deep Striker."

As its number suggests, this variation of the S Gundam is based on the booster-equipped [Bst] version. Its objective is to penetrate enemy territory at high speeds, and then use its immense firepower to destroy major targets such as bases and space fleets. The platform on its back carries a long-range disk radome and a huge mega particle cannon of the same type used by Argama- and Irish-class space warships. Its crew consists of a pilot and a radar operator, who are protected by two I-field generators similar to that of the Ex-S Gundam. The Deep Striker is also equipped with a beam smartgun, two improved beam cannons, an additional generator in its waist armor, and a multi-sensor pod that takes the place of its left arm and gives it enemy search capabilities comparable to those of an EWAC mobile suit.

Due to its heavy equipment, the Deep Striker has twice the weight of the original [Bst] version. Although the conformal packs attached to its leg booster units each include an extra thruster, as well as more energy supply connection points, the machine’s total acceleration is reduced by about 30 percent. However, the attachment of extra propellant tanks gives it a far greater operating time, and these tanks can be discarded once empty in order to reduce the machine’s dead weight.
