Memories

I should probably just look harder on this site - but you guys talk so much (I mean this in a good way) and have so much input that it seems easier to just post this instead so...

Has anyone seen and done a write up of Memories yet? or for that matter Robot Carnival - the latter actually having Mech in it while the former is just a great piece of work.

If not I would be willing to write a short-ish review.

I saw lots of trailers for Robot Carnival years ago but I never got to see it. I'd read a review if you wrote one.
If you don't like the news then go make some of your own.

Katsuhiro Otomo's memories is a beautiful, haunting, elegant piece of work. No mecha in it, though, so it doesnt really belong on this site.

Robot Carnival, on the other hand, has several mecha in it (especially the Victorian, steam-powered, wood-and-brick super robots of "Tale of Two Robots") and is one hell of a hoot all around.
