WSC Flamberge Temple

Post by Sheizzel » Sat Feb 11, 2006 2:54 am

Sooner than expected! But...it is sculpted by someone else, not Ikushima...

I'm not a huge Flamberge fan, but I have to say that looks nice. Couldn't really ask for a better Flamberge!

Thanks for sharing the link. :)

I feel this Flamberge Temple looks very similar to that of the Flamberge that was sold in FAC...

Are you saying they might both be by the same sculptor?

I don't know much about the Flamberge from FAC, so I can't say for sure. WSC Flamberge does look pretty good, but I expected Ikushima to be handling this MH, considering how nice his Ashura turned out to be.

WSC Temples look pretty nice next to each other.

Wow, so soon!

Looks pretty good.

I notice it has 2 face options. Interesting.

Website seems to be saying the kit will be featured in april hobby mags?

And the price is not bad, for a big heavy MH from WSC...

Cool news.

WSC has been working hard lately. This guy, 大輪正和, is not an old employee of WSC. I vaguely remember his name, is he one of the team player on the WSC Twin Tower? If so, that was the only thing he ever sculpted for WSC.

Usually w/ WSC, the only sidekick is OBC.

I think it looks quite a lot better than I expected. I was fearing that it would be pretty bad when we discovered it was by a 'new guy', and that some people were saying it wasn't comparable to regular WSC work...

But I'm pleased by what I see, and will be doing my best to get a copy.

I like the fact that the shield detail (front side) is sculpted in such a way that it'll be very easy to paint. I just wish there was a shot of the underside of the feet.

It looks pretty interesting but I have one question: What is the Flamberge Temple? Is it the flagship MH? I've never seen it before but when I first saw it in this topic (I'm sure I'm going to regret admitting this) I thought: "Why is it wearing a giant condom on it's head? Does it tie into the whole "gender" thing that Nagano has for his MH?" :P

Dr. Diamond Neutral, designer of the Ashura Temple, was called in by Krakenbeal Mejojo after he took the throne at the Mejojo Imperial Court and hired to design a unique masterpiece mortar headd. The design was based on the Ashura Temple and the Flamberge Temple was the result.
If you don't like the news then go make some of your own.

I recall reading somewhere that Ikushima is a quality freak, so I doubt he would ever allow a sub-standard kit to be released under the WSC banner.

This kit looks to be very much in WSC's "style" (whether you love it or hate it...) :)
