Mmh the details look really crisp. I have a soft spot for crenels since I read FSS, and those ones on the head are really good, when you think about how boring it must be to sclupt that, as well as all the soft volumes for the shamrock, like on the Prominence's shoulder.

There just seems to be a few proportions problem, or not enough dynamism. As Coby said, it must be pretty hard to balance such a kit, but in such a pose, you'd expect the legs (mostly the heels) to be really close from each other (and it would fall^^).
Or maybe it's just not the best photo angle, the same shot as in smokewalls would've been better to catch the dynamism.

The detailing looks really nice.... but something about the proportions really bothers me.

I think the FAC kit actually captured the proportion and pose of the artwork better.

I'd be interested to know if a little leg lengthening and pose alteration could make this kit look a lot nicer.

As well, Batman really capture the spirit of that kit on his mod. The Silicon tribe one, the spirit is just not there.

The painting for the Scritti is done http://mx666ver7777.web.infoseek.co.jp/ ... c2005.html

This kit looks better with paint than without. I just wish this guy had chosen another color :P .

I'm not 100% thrilled. But I don't hate it either. It might look pretty decent in proper colors.

I do like some aspects, such as the double shields with extra knives stored on them...

Actually, I like it... I like it a lot :)

The sculpt is extremely clean and neat. Very nice proportions, and the detail looks great and sharp. Honestly, this looks good enough to be a production resin model.

why on earth would this guy pick a gold color? As if we haven't seen enough gold color from KOG. Why can't he go w/ the original orange color?

I guess I'm just spoiled by Tani's 1/144 kit. This 1/100 looks chunky and graceless in comparison. But it could be a lot worse... I'll pick one up if it makes it to recast.

Hi KoG.

I wouldn't call the sculpt "chunky"... The color art in Plastics Style of the Scritti looks like it's rather beefy MH (by current standards, anyway), which he seems to have captured rather well. I believe that the lack of dynamism might span from the fact that the hinged armor on this 1/100 sculpt (particularly on the lower legs) is not as flared as in the artwork; thus making it look less catchy.

Mmm.. I've never thought it's a good idea to base kits on the artbook illustrations, in cases where other material is available. The artbook pics almost always seem a little rough and unrefined.

A Toll Scritti has made multiple appearances in the manga, so I think it would be best to base sculpts off of THAT reference material. I'd have to go back and look at the manga art again.... but I have a feeling the manga versions look a bit slimmer.

I would have been very happy to see Tani's 1/144 scaled up into 1/100. :P

Be fair... this is FAC. That someone can sculpt a Scritti at all is an achievement. :)

Oh, i'm not putting the work down or anything. I'm certainly happy to see a 1/100 Scritti. I'm just saying it feels a bit bulky. But I'll still get one if I can. :)

Using Gastness to project on the current WSC trend, same time next yr., WSC will release 1/100 Scritti.
