Mmh i think it was mentioned when we were talking about Factories 2004, or 5. Just that we were all focused on factorys and didn't talk much about this one, it's mostly a recap of what could be seen previously isn't it ? Is it worth the purchase ? (cuz' the picture we can see only shows things we've already seen before)

But that was Factory 2004, which shows Gk only, this is manga, they are two different book.

It was delayed for several times, finally released end of March.

It's quite a thick book, with lots of pictures, reference, (old) details and a FAQ (all in JP). Some info are not updated, so u might be able to find contradicting info. I read that there are no new info at all, but becoz of the variety of pictures and info, it might be suitable for those who dont own the Characters series, or are new to FSS.

Mine's still not here yet, can u believe it? In fact I asked to 'ship immediately' at HLJ and they only started shipping 4 days later. I'm supposed to be on the same continent as Japan... ??

What is this, the latest version of the FSS Encyclopedia?

I'll get it simply for completeness sake, before it becomes hard to find like some of the Characters series books (still looking for Characters 8: AKD damnit)

wow, finally got my Chronicle 2005.

It is quite a thick book, 300+ pages. The cover page folds out and there's a picture of the JC3000s Mirage Knights (same pic as the one in Knight Flags). Then on the first page, I was quite surprised to see an English introduction of FSS! I found out that most of the page titles, character names and some charts are listed in English. But of coz, I must emphasize that most of the text is in Japanese.

The first part "Basic Knowledge of FSS" consists of about 60 pages, mostly taken from Episode Guide, with minor changes. Then there is the explanation of knights (including a chart of genealogy of pure-blood), fatima (incl jp vol11 list in Eng), MH (incl JC3000s MK/3159 invasion list in Eng). The table is similar to the one in Character 6: Twin Tower. I'm not sure if u guys already have these in your Eng ver manga? The power balance chart is here too (is it to be taken seriously?! remember Laki & suezo...)

Second part is the characters (incl MHs) listing, sub-divided into 11 sections with each section corresponding to the JP volumes. Each section begins with a character/MH/Spaceship list (in JP & Eng! ), and then u get pages of pictures.

Third section "NT Serial Title Page Collection". Consists of all FSS title pages since the very first one in 1986. Pictures are too small

Last part is a FAQ (and blunder) section. This takes up 1/3 of the book. All in Jp.


All in all a thick book with no new info, except maybe some little description changes here and there, nothing drastic.

Maybe I'd take some pictures of the book later...

Thanks for the summary Rubel Colus! I was eye-ing that but it doesn't look like there's anything new and while I'm obsessive about collecting FSS stuff, I really don't need another book with the same stuff re-hashed. =)

I've taken some pics of the book, u might wanna take a look here before u decide. Pardon my crappy phototaking skills and the chinese website (its a free unlimited photo album!). Navigating around should be quite straight forward tho.

For the Character section, there is a name list for all chara who appeared in each volume. The interesting thing is, we can now confirm on certain characters that appeared, for e.g. JP Vol. 6 has appearace of Ganna Skipper (Mirage Diver), Sentimer, etc. It seems like Freez Cates (MK 16L) appeared in JP vol10 (one of the silhouette?)...

I think the one where Kaien got beat by Amat' (or Sopp), and 3 fatimas (one of them is Queen I think) are around him.

The answer is not given by Nagano himself, but the fact that it is printed in the book as an answer probably means that it is the correct answer.

The characters are Queen, Kaien, Auxo and Mel Rince.

Hi. =) Is it standard to do intros?

I buy pretty much any printed thing I can find on FSS. I don't have any of the models... and that's only 'cause I have no time to do resin kits anymore. Someday when I win the lottery (ha) I'd like to be able to build kits again.
