i guess he's/they're irked by some of the "hard selling" done juz to make a certain series popular. He's not entirely wrong tho, sometimes when i flip thru an anime/modelling magazine, i feel like i'm reading a book on Gundam SEED.

The weirdest was from a boy who wasn't even born when EVA first ran, and had never seen either the original MG or EVA.

For the first time I am getting to active dislike of everything from Wing on. If the hype has poisoned the public discourse, then that is a problem (it was weirdly like talking about Enterprise with trekkies)...
