SRW lineart,anyone interesting?

Postby Kuruni » Tue Dec 14, 2004 9:26 am

It is official game made by Banpresto on several platform.(No PC, exclude all ROM :D )
Gundam : Char's Counter Attack and Mazinger Z are two series that feature in every game. (Maybe only mecha in CCA case. As Amuro might appear in his OYW or Z version.) A serie of Getter Robo also appear in every game.

For detail, take a look at Robot Series Guide at gamefaqs.com

Heh heh... It is soooooo not fanware. There have been like, god, what? 2 dozen iterations of it by now? For just about every game platform you can think of.

Frankly, Im amazed you dont know about it. Ads and articles about it are all over assorted anime and video game magazines...

Oh! - trouble is GG I dont buy anything but original language magazines - my last english mag has to be about 10 years old by now - I dont buy computer/video magazines much either for that matter - and dont forget I live in little america (England) so Id have to say its just one of the many things that have passed us by over the years.

Like elsewhere on Gears I posted a request for Mech based games - or suggestions about which might be worth getting and where I might find them - mainly because I dont believe we have ever had a Gundam console or pc game out over here - I have a PC engine that if you look hard enuf for you can actually track down some prety good mech type games but the price is Import price and the manuals are never particularly helpfull and of course you cant tell if the game is a classic or a piece of dross due to lack of reviews etc..

Is it possible to get SRW complete collection downloaded of the net?

Try searching for ROM of SRW 4 for SNES. It shouldn't be too hard to find.

And if you have Gameboy Advance. (or emulator) :D There are four of them right now. (SRW A, SRW R, SRW : Original Generation and SRW D) and SRW : OG2 will be out next year...

If anyone's still looking for the older SRW roms I can send them by email. I can also easily leech the newer ones in a chatroom I regularly go to. Please PM me if you have any requests.

SRW Lineart Links

Postby Newton » Wed Jan 05, 2005 2:21 pm

Hey Kuruni:

Is there another set of links to the SRW lineart you posted? I am unable to access the pictures through the posted links. I'd really like to see this work.

Thanks,

Newt

By the way, does anyone have any non-SD images of Guest mecha and characters? I saw some artbook scans (I think) of SRW4 main characters, but wasn't able to find anything more.

I have non-SD linearts of the Guest mechs, but I'll have to dig those up.

That would be great, the powered-up Chaos Guld (don't know how to spell the name, something-chaos) should be really cool looking. Too bad you don't have the characters, I wonder how Seti looks.

OG2 Artbook!

Postby AslanCross » Mon Feb 14, 2005 10:00 pm

OG2 Artbook

Thanks to Yuudestiny and Chrissy from SRWG for this. The file is about 27 MB. They kinda messed up the battleship names again, but the book has a pretty neet visual treat in the first few pages.

Also, while the official spelling of Odin Ymir's mech's name is "Sladegelmir," that's actually a mistranslation of "Thrudgelmir," the name of a frost giant from Norse mythology.
