What do the DC want?
After playing quite a few SRW's (I didn't play some earlier ones unfortunately) I still can't figure out what is the purpose of the DC. Can anyone tell me?
For original DC (SRW2 and OG), Professer Bian Zoldark once cooperate with Earth Federation to fight against alien. However, just like EF in Gundam, EF in SRW is a corrupt and spineless organization. So Bian figure out that they won't stand a chance against incoming alien. So he creat DC and declare war against EF. Known that this would force EF to develope new weapon and technology quickly. Also, the battle against his force would toughen the best squad of EF (White Base Squadron in SRW2 or Hiryu/Hagane Squadron in OG) These battle would raise them, make them grow into a fighting force capable of defeating the alien. (A reason why he never crush the player with full-scale force.)
However, not all of DC's personal known this true purpose of DC. They believe that they're fighting force that would fight alien and destroy the filthy EF. So after Bian's death, they continue to fight EF. Those who known Bian's motive (Char Aznable or Anavel Gato in SRW3 or Zenger and Elzam in OG) are mostly join player group later, as DC become corrupt, more concern about their own power than Bian's goal.
Hope that help.

The DC in the Alpha timeline are close allies of the EF, however. They cooperate most of the time and were also involved in the development of EOT, especially on units like SRX. (There's a mission where you see Ryune being besieged by the BESPA and you have to rescue her to get a skill point.)
Shuu (who is head of the DC in Alpha after Vian Zoldark's disappearance) helps a lot in your campaign to stop the Aerogaters, although your guys don't really trust him. He turns on you in Alpha Gaiden, though.

Aerogaters is very interesting villain. They're actually small division of evil empire, Balmar. (I think their real name is "7th Division Army of Balmar Empire" but not so sure.) It look like that Balmar is rule by tyrant conqueror, as they're engage in war against Zentradi and STMC and Sorvok (AKA Guest). And has other alien enslaved to fight for them.
They drop a Meteor 3 (in OG) or ASS-1 (Alpha) to see if human is good enough to understand EOT. If no, then Earthling is worthless race and must be destroy. Fortunely, EOT isn't too complex for Shuu Shirakawa, working as researcher of EOTI. (However, Shuu aware that his quick successful would make Aerogater would attack Earthling quickly for being dangerous race. So he make slight "mistake" in Blackhole Engine of Huckebein 008R, cause it to explode. This incident make Aerogater hold their assault for a while, given more time for Earthling to develope their force.)
To Aerogater, Earthling isn't really a threat for them. We're just possible good source for more recuit. But it's worth a note that in Alpha, Raodekia, leader of Aerogater were died long ago fighting Zentradi. Raodekia we saw is just one of clones creat by Yuzes Gozzo, who is true matermind of Aerogater in Alpha. And it's more interesting that only reason for Yuzes to attack Earth is to complete the Judekka, so he could destroy Balmar Empire. (He claim that this universe has no future if the Empire still exist and without a complete Judekka, it's impossible to defeat Balmar.) In OG, Ingram is only real Aerogater. These mean we never see true terror of Balmar yet.
For Rebi, she seem to be Mai Kobayashi, Aya's missing sister. But there are still few mysteries here...
1.Aya said Mai is her older sister, but Rebi is younger than her.
2.According to conversasion of Giliam and Rada, Aya's memory about Mai seem to be fake memory input by Prof. Kobayashi. This mean they might not really relate.
In case I made any mistake, hope AslanCross correct me.

Yes, that's another mystery... IMO, it look like Rebi were chosen by Yuzes to be Judekka's test pilot, nothing more. (It look like Judekka choose her itself in OG though.)Also, Mai seems to appear in OG2, but doesn't Rebi die in OG?
Not 100% sure, but I read somewhere that Fu-re ship attacked by Shuu at Southpole during "peace talk" is actually Guest in disguise. (Shuu also mention their name few more time.)

The Fu-re (or Fury?) is weird. It looks somewhat organic to me - while all the alien mecha seem totally mechanical and metallic. When you mentioned Balmar, I thought it was one of their units.

I'd say they are more like the only storyline... All the other series' storylines aren't really there. When Gato steals the GP-02A for 100th time it's not Zeon doing that, it's DC.Poseidal wrote:Guest and Inspector don't appear at all outside of the main/original (well, not anymore) storyline. They're the primary story reason in those games, apart from Shuu's occasional Ragnarok.

Surprise, it's reveal in OG2 that both Mai and Aya were School's product like Latouni. (Even more surprise, Akira Setome claim that Kiriko Date, Ryusei's mother, is from School as well)And Inspector are also back (with the most annoy barrier ability in SRW history, Beam Absorb) A user at gamer-gate.net reveal that while there is Granzon's data. It is really a dummy data with only map icon.
Now the Neue DC were found and they make alliance with mystery Shadow Mirror and Ancester. (They claim that it's need to fight Inspector)
