I got an origional in the mail last night ^__^ ($78 on e-bay... ^__^ ) Anyway, just need them for painting mostly, but not sure where to look....

Heck, I also got an anime cell in the box, too... Not sure why it was there, but mine now, just need to ID what it's from....

And also, any tutorials on photo-etch parts would help, too... it has a few...

Although I'm not sure, but is the red on it like a satin sort of look? (Semi-gloss? )

Heck, any help with this kit is welcome ^__^

You got an original of the Silicon Tribe Schpeltor w/ Buster for $78??? Are you the luckiest person on earth or what?

Well, I looked through all the stuff I have on my HD... I've saved a LOT of pics from a LOT of sites. But it seems like no one else has built one of these. I built one many years ago, but sadly I sold it to someone else, and I no longer have any pics. There might have been one pic of it still posted to the kit gallery at heika.net, but it may no longer be accessible now... I have a fresh copy of the kit sitting in a box, but that won't do you much good... I have a couple small photos of the Volks schpeltor, but the images aren't any better than what you already have. You might check www.animebox.com.hk to see if they have a close-up image of the kit? They seem to have an image of just about everything...

If I remember, the photo etch parts are for the chin guard and some of the mirage emblems? The chin part should be easy to manage. Just use something nice and sharp to cut the part away from the 'sprue', and then gently fold it in the middle to achieve the proper form. As for the mirage emblems, I almost think it's best to seek out decal replacements for the emblems...

I actually think a semi-gloss look would be nice for the whole thing, not just the red parts. Another note on painting... in the pics you already have, you'll notice that there's some gold bits, and some silver bits. Most of the time, people paint this particular schpeltor (the Lonn type) with only gold bits (in other words, replace the silver parts with gold). This is up to you though, as I'm sure it can look fine either way. For me, I'd tend to go with only gold bits. After all, schpeltor is a precursor to the Knight of Gold...

Of course, you'll want to secure this guy to a base. Secure the feet to a base, secure the base of the buster to the base, and use a delicate pin to connect the hand to the buster. Otherwise there's no easy way to display this guy without the buster falling over all the time...

If you have any other questions, let me know...

I know, great price! Akuma showed me the auction and I couldn't believed the ending price for this original kit. It's even cheaper than a recast!

I just call it being in the right place at the right time :p

Anyway, dunno when I'll ever build him, though... Think I might wait on it, and just pin it for the time being

Here you go, Happy...

The main reason no one saw it is because Five Star Stories wasn't in the title, I bet

Edit: Thanks for the pics (and letting me know, I did in fact have an account there... lol ) Is that your kit?

I'm thinking I might do it all glossy, but I dunno... I'll figure it out when the time comes, I guess....

No, all those pic. are the ones I captured from various web sites.

I do like them glossy as well, Future wax works well as a top coat. Keep us posted on your progress.
