I saw the Tracer book on facebook and I shared it to my profile the other day. It seems to be a book of background, interviews and extras for FSS.

According to the Amazon reviews, part of the book is Nagano talking about FSS, and the rest is other people talking about FSS. Looks like some color pages in the front, then black and white the rest of the book. Also appears to have reprints of promotional images from Newtype where other artists were drawing FSS characters in their own styles.

Thanks for the link, levrin. I'd buy it if I could find a place selling it to an American. I checked out HLJ but they don't list it yet.

I usually import from honto.jp, but since the entire website is in Japanese that might not work for you. You could always email HLJ and ask them to stock the book, since it does seem to be the kind of thing they would carry.
Other options are special ordering through Kinokuniya's New York branch or purchasing from YesAsia.com, but markup tends to be high for both of those.

A more recent interview with Nagano? I wonder what he says about it.

Nagano: Yeah, for years I was really into Five Star Stories but now I'm ready to move on to my next work: Shoujo romance manga. :D

I could almost see that happening after reading the Prima Classe Hugtlang chapters, but it would quickly drift into craziness.
