Latest Newtype????

Post by Nu Soard Graphite » Tue Nov 09, 2004 9:29 pm

Has anyone gotten their hands on the latest issue of Newtype yet?

Still "Promenade"?

He's just about to wrap up Volume 12. In Smoke Walls, "Prima Classe Hugtrang" is the last chapter of The Majestic Stand part 2: Smoke Walls. I wonder what he's got in store for us in Part-3 (and how many parts is the Majestic Stand going to take?!)

How about we chill? 8)
You that anxious to see more highschool girls fight over who looks cuter or reminisce about their summer jobs?

Check here for latest release info.
They haven't updated the NT section since their November issue yet.

Was that what they were doing in the latest NT that I saw here on gearsonline? If Nagano continues on a similar vein I'll forget about buying a copy, just bug my friend for all the mecha and fatima details instead.

Yeah. Same thing happened at the end of Volume 11. High school drama, following little Cha-ti (Wascha Codante). She went to high school with Jhon and Sakurako and it showed some of their "life" as it were in that school. Apparently Nagano intends to follow "Promenade" for a little while as an ongoing side-story at the end of each FSS volume.

Oh, no hurry. I was just wondering if anyone had seen it yet. I'm a patient man.

Nagano probably wanted to change his style for a while. He's been drawing FSS for so long, it's understandable.

Slightly OT - the latest NT cover shows Z Gundam... Camune and MK-II looks weird... :?
Looking for:
- FSS Eng Vol 1(Black cover)

If it's true, the reason why it carries the name of Mirage despite not having the Mirage Series Elazer engines and the reason why it can power a buster launcher with low output engines may be explained.

I can't go buy the New Type right now.
If someone can show me the December issue of FSS, I'll translate that part about the identity of the Luminous.
Now I'm anxious to see the new NT. :P
Ooh, don't tease me!

I'm wondering what they consider a "low" output. Low in comparison to a LED Mirage? Heck a Bangdoll can power a Buster and its only got an output of 1.35 Trillion Hp compared to the LED's 2.3 Trillion or the KOG's 3.0 Trill.

This may sound dumb but is Promenade a part of FSS storyline? I always thought its some extra story not related with FSS.

Yes, its a part of the FSS storyline.

The main character is Cha-Ti otherwise known as Wascha Codante...Aisha's sister and current head of the Codante family (Now that Aisha is Queen of Roumer)

Also guest-starring in Promenade:

Jhon Weinzel as Prom King
Natrium "Xing" Sakurako as Prom Queen
Naias Brunhilde as herself
"Mercy" Nonna Strauss as herself

Should be Cha-Tea.
As in the drink made by steeping various stuff in hot water.
Cha also is how tea is pronounced in East Asia.
That's why she was talking about her nickname being Cha-Cha.
This is somewhat off topic:

East Asia as in the area around India right? Or do you mean Southeast Asia, since that's where my native language is from and we pronounce the above as:

Cha'i and Daei that has a definite emphasis on the "da" portion that sounds almost like the "th" sound in English only heavier with a slight breathy accent on the "aei" part as in "hey".

I'll stop going off topic. Or try to stop anyway. :)

Lets not forget about Jhon being conned into bonding a fatima.

Oh, Gawd NO! Not one of Nagano's infamous "short breaks"

Last time he did that we didn't get FSS for like over a year!

Hmmm...i'm very interested to know how it will change. I trust Nagano enough to not be worried about it though. I have not yet been disapointed by his creativity, in fact, its been getting better as the years progress (unlike say, George Lucas)

What I meant when I said "East Asia" were the broad region and culture anywhere from India to China to South East Asia all the way to Japan.

I know for sure that in Japanese, Korean and Chinese it's pronounced "Cha".
