Just in case no one here has heard. Not sure what this means.

Thanks for the article link. I had heard some of this before but not in this much detail. I'm not comfortable with Funimation having such a prominent position. Their translations are awful.
If you don't like the news then go make some of your own.

Okay, it's just the american arm of the company. Whew, I thought we were in trouble for a while there.
All that means is that we won't see an official Gundam Unicorn translation any time soon, which is no big deal since the fansubbers are all over it anyway.
Yeah, Funimation is the big anime company now. No big deal. I was planning to start torrenting a ton of anime I haven't seen yet once I convert my desktop to a Home Theater/Media PC. I just need to find a program that will upscale the old classics so I can play them at HD resolutions without them looking like complete shiite!

Last I checked, the Japanese Gundam Unicorn discs have English subtitles on them anyway and aren't region-locked.

“Gundam UC”, based on a story by author Harutoshi Fukui, enters into the new chapter of the “Universal Century” arc. The fierce battle scenes of Mobile Suits with new characters are must-see!

*This Blu-ray disc is region-free.
