Unicron devours Earth, annihilating all the Feddies, then snacks on the colonies and Zeon for dessert :) :P

don't forget the weaponry of gundams, and uncrion takes time before devouring them. Unicron has many weakness. Wing Gundam goes inside the body and Kaboom Nuclear Explosion.

I think the trouble here is there are a lot more Transformers robots than Gundma robots in one time and one place.
If you don't like the news then go make some of your own.

Ah, but Unicron is planet sized. It would take tens of thousands of nukes to even scratch the surface. Plus, Unicron has the plot device; only the Autobot Matrix can harm him...at least, as he was originally conceived. I don't know Transformers after that, so who knows what changes have been made to him over the many years of shows and comic books. And I don't care to know ;)

Numbers would be a big deal, like Tachyon says. The entire Transformer population is all giant robots of some kind. Even the Federation and Zeon combined would have but a few thousand mobile suits at most. They'd be outnumbered in the extreme.

I feel like you'd be hard-pressed to find any way in which a moderately sentient race of beings who can actually be repaired, not just healed, in human physiological terms, and who can switch between modes of:
1) independent life forms
2) remote-controllable drones
3) powered armor for other transformers or humanoid life forms

as being technologically inferior on a 1:1 basis.

On the other hand, the limitations in the spark, or whatever the kids are calling it these days, mean that:
1: only lifeless drones can be created through manufacturing
2: humanoid life-forms can apparently substitute for this somewhat in the case of the headmasters, but this would imply cooperation between humans and the transformers

a transformer can probably last longer, and have far better manual ability than a powered armor/MS, but given the concepts outlined in the TF series, in reality, it'd be a simple matter of transferring a spark to a mobile suit, and creating a personality matrix to create a transformer, if one is to accept the events outlined in Binaltech/the new TF movie/and IIRC even some of the original storyline.

Unicron is overall a bad idea, serving to impress by sheer size, but the flaw is inherent when one sees that scaling up a giant robot to planet size leaves the opportunity open for the Death Star approach in combatting it.

I'd say that on any given day, MS from the UC timeline would be mostly outclassed across the board except for NT frames, but their massive numbers, and ability to be manufactured and piloted by expendable human pilots in comparison to the supposedly dwindling numbers of transformers and leftover sparks from the cybertronian wars, as well as the 2 distinctly different political factions who could never agree to unite forces, would still most likely give earth and spacenoid forces the upper hand as they would most likely join forces against an alien force attacking unprovoked.
