I like the Gungrust. It's like a new-wave style super robot.

Mine woulda be either Wilde Shrike(from Alpha 2) or Huckebein Mk-3 from Alpha. SRs I love is Sladegelmir(Machine-cell mutated Grungust from Alpha Gaiden). Of course, I love SRX and Psybuster as well :P .

The correct spelling is Wild Wuerger from what I know Kuruni, but Wuerger means Shrike(the bird) in some language so I out that instead since its so much easier.

Actually, as far as the "Wild Shrike" goes... From the germanic spelling of the name, are we sure its not "wild slayer"? Vürger being the german word for Strangler, Serial-Killer, or Slayer...

Favorites:

1) Astranagun
2) Hückebein Mk III Gunner
3) Alteisen Riese
4) Granzon
5) Hückebein

As for Wildwürger, I did quite a lot of research and I still haven't seen "Würger" meaning "Shrike" in any German dictionary so far. Nevertheless, I go with that spelling anyway, as it's the official one and makes sense. (there are some official spellings that don't make sense, such as "Hagwane," "Hiryu Kwai", and the like). The meaning "Shrike" also goes with the bird-of-prey theme, and is also consistent with the "Twin Bird Strike" combo move.

Ahhh, he IS cool. Thanks! (He looks kinda like a Z.O.E. Orbital Frame.) Id love to see his non-SD model sheets.

No wonder I didnt recognize him. I have a terrific SRW artbook, but its a couple of years old now, and doesn't have the newest games' mecha in it. Like the Astranagun, sadly.

There's a huge archive of SRW sprites here from various games, arranged according to series of origin:
