Which Mortar Headd do you like best?

Post by Nu Soard Graphite » Tue Aug 31, 2004 3:32 am

Lots of MH's to choose from these days.

My favorites are the Neptune and the Prominence and the Engage series (esp SR-1) Bangdoll, Eleshis and Yen Xing remain favorites. There are so many good one's though, its hard to choose.

Oh and for the FSS newbies here, check this link:

http://www.gearsonline.net/fss/mh/mh-name.php

There are tons more MH's that what we have listed here and hopefully soon we'll have the full list for you to peruse. But in the meantime, which one's do you like best?

The Schpeltor and Bang Doll have always been high on my list. I can't remember the names of the newer designs I like. I'll have to list them when I pull my books out of storage.
If you don't like the news then go make some of your own.

Mmh, my first favorite was either the Patraqushe or first Babiron, but now I'm more onti the "new MHs", like the 3 mighty, and the 3 Phantoms, with fvisible rame.

I'd like to see a Bang Doll V3 (not much change, just an actualisation of it), cuz' it's also one of the best, and the twin-linked heels look great.

Arkana Siren is great too.

Lol :P
Sorry, I'm stupid^^

I hope you asked this question more in a sort of sarcastic way than seriously, or else I may have give you fake hope^^.

Well, let me say it again : "I'd like to see a Bang Doll V2"
Of course I said that thinking about V3, for instance, LED V2 & KOG V2 are not much different from the V1, so V3 are more some sort of V2...
(from what I know theere are several Bang Doll versions right ? Maybe one heavier than another ? Or am I thinking this because of the slight differences between the different resin kits ? (some with a sort of peak, some not...)

Oh yeah there's also this one, but I don't like it that much.

I'm a big fan of mecha on heels, and particularly the BD double heels, so seeing it (or should I say her ?) on big flat foot again  :?

And I think the heels are a important part of the Bang Doll design, it's what makes it stand so proud compared to other MHs.

Also this one hasn't the floating "tails", yup', globally I don't like this one that much, the overall feeling is wrong with this one, it's too much rounded, more vector-style stuff and angles would be better IMHO.

I agree.
I'm not sure if it's even a Nagano design.

Yes it is.

Its an early "rough draft" design of the Bang Doll that Nagano did for his collected paintings work called Joker 3100. It is a book of full-color paintings that Nagano did waaaaay back in '89 that detailed the 3100 era of Joker.

This may very well be the "V2" Bang Doll since the book is tittled Joker 3100. Or perhaps this is a future Mass-produced version. I'd like to think it is the latter.

Cool. Thanks for clearing that up Nu.
What's Joker 3100 like ?
When was it released ? Before Plastics Style / Knight flags ?
Are there any more sketches of Bang Doll designs ?

It was released well before Plastics style and about a decade before Knight Flags.

Its not like other characters books (in fact it is not considered part of the Characters seris) it is a true art-book in every sense of the word as each page holds a large (double page spread) color painting by Nagano depicting scenes from around the Joker systems.

If one is only interested in the characters and MH pics found in the Characters series, they can skip this book. However for the serious FSS collector it is a definate must-have.
