Votoms - My Good Deed For The Day

Postby Tachyon » Wed Nov 08, 2006 1:36 pm

I just finished doing my good deed for the day. Blockbuster Online had all the DVD's for the Votoms TV show except the first one. A customer service person just Emailed me and apologized. He's going to order the missing DVD and add it to the Web site's lineup.

Do I qualify now as a mecha activist? :D

New OAV for Votoms? Great news! I look forward to it.

2007 has me excited for a number of reasons. First off, I'm buying Gunbuster on Feb. 20th. Go Lion should be released on DVD. Fist of the North Star should have some new anime out (Who's cooler? Kenshiro or Ken the Eagle? Hard for me to say). If Nagano puts out another Five Star Stories art book then 2007 will be a true winner in my book.

To porn monger: Bugger off

to Tachyon: VOTOMs is a fantastic series, I'm glad you did your part to make it completely available to online renters. Too bad most fans today overlook classics like this.
Dr. Mystico: I'll build a private army of super-apes and take over Cleveland!
Cosgrove: Don't you mean the world?
Dr. Mystico: I meant the world, yes. What did I say? Cleveland? Oh, I *always* do that!

Yeah, the new "Pailsen Files" (since when did they switch from "Peruzen"?) is a prequel to the original VOTOMS tv show. All the mecha are 3-d rendered. Looks pretty cool, though I generally don't have much faith in prequels. They tend to mess up continuity something awful.
