New Volks Mighty Series?

I'm not sure what this is all about, but it looks like Volks is coming out with a set of new and improved Mighty Series.

That is unexpected. If they want to improve the Mighty Series, I very much hope they improve the price.

Is there any chance that it's just a photo-etch detail up set for the existing Mighty Series kits?

I'd be bummed to see Volks wasting time crafting a whole new Mighty Series set.

It looks that Volks is hoping those photo edge can be used to combat re-cast.

Definately but as already mentioned very unlikely.
Hopefully they will see the wisdom in selling them as seperate kits, not as one over-priced set.....

From what I can see the wip Babirons w/etched parts looks very nice indeed. Maybe the new multi-media approach will be the next big thing?

I have a recast kit that had the photoetch copied as well. So that won't be a hinderance.

but can most illegal recast shop do it, and can they do it well? Is it difficult for them to do?

I can't what else is Volks thinking to re-do the mighty series, as surely they have better MH to cook up. This probably is a slight improved version rel. of the prev. w/ photo etch add on. Best guess.

Volks will be taking preorder for the new Mighty Series set. The price for the set is 130000yen. This time around you can buy the kits as a set or buy them separately.
