Fastrun's Neptune

Finally finished.

Not too shabby for a WSC kit.

I want to be able to do gloss the way he does. :(

Hopefully he'll ditch that butt ugly WSC Sr1 and start back on his Twin Tower! :D

but to be fair, WSC sculpted the mermaid's face. As to Volks, what they did is sheer deception towards customer, and realistically an unfinish kit.

And despite that the Volks still looks better.

Such a harsh judgement from the bunny... all based on about 4 square millimetres of resin.

i do agree with happy though, cos i feel that the mermaid is wat brings the WSC Neptune to life, nevermind about the proportions of the rest of the body....

I agree w/ KOG overall, Volk is better. But an unfinish is, in the end, an unfinish kit. There is no excuse, and that missing eyes is giving away business to WSC.

In short, that kit should not have been rel. until the eyes is done. And quite frankly, the sculpter simply forgot and Volks most likely didn't find out until AFTER the mass production has been made.

I really doubt that anyone will base their choice on the eyes. Overall look, proportion, size, sculpting style is much more important.

People who prefer slim look will go for Volks, people who like the more 'solid' feel of WSC will choose WSC.

Personally, I have both, but if I had to choose only one to own, it would still be Volks. It's a lot easier to correct the eye problem than it would be to correct all the things I don't like about the WSC.

Ditto. But a missing part is quite simply, a missing part. It shouldn't have been missing in the first place. Have a look at all the other Volks FSS resin kits, all parts are intact. If customer pay for original resin, they expect to get a complete kit, missing a portion of the face essentially is a missing part.

What Volks really should know, is to allow customers to show proof of purchase, by for instance, cut out the UPC code, and mail back to Volks and reward a new shoulder plate w/ the face complete.

What a whigner.

Just paint the details you like on the face, or sculpt your own facial features. Who knows, maybe the mermaid isn't supposed to have a face at all, it may be symbolic of something we aren't yet aware of.

Open your eyes and look at the manga, the mermaid face including the eyes is there.
