Hey guys. Got these in the mail a couple of days ago..

I took comparison photos with the other Jagd's I have (1/100 WSC Twin Tower), and 1/220 (first release) Kaiyodo Tani Jagd.

I'll start building these when I move into my new place in 4 weeks.

Got my OR pinned, puttied and sanded. I'm just having a bit of difficult time coming up with colors for the hoses and neck fibers...

I would say go for a medium neutral like grey, that way you can wash the detail so it stands out.

Really hard to say huh? Lack of OR reference material out there...

Yep...I was thinking I might have to use WSC Jagd from HobbyJapan as painting reference for the head kits.

While I'm taking my time to decide what colors I should use, I've finished fixing the areas I wasn't too happy with on the casting. Both the left and right part on each side of the head wasn't cast cleanly. It was a quick fix using Tamiya expoxy and a toothpick. Later I went ahead and scribe lines underneath those two parts so they'll look better once painted.

Nice rescribing job. Especially on removing those sprue tabs.

Don't tell us you're actually going to finish this one? =p

Sorry, I missed where you mentioned... it was sandwhiched between giant photos.

Anyways, interesting size comparisons.

If we can say that the Jagd heads are more or less 1/144, then the old 1/220 is close to 1/144 as well, as has been said. Nifty.

Are you moving out of Canberra?
If you buy a pet from pet stores , you are encouraging those breeders to breed more. This is the condition that they lives in:

However, some of the bust parts are disproporitionate in comparison to the Tani Jagd. For example, the face plate is nearly the same size as the Twin Tower, and so is the "chin". The exhausts are a mix between the WSC size and the Kaiyodo.

But, as shown, the overall head size is the same as the Kaiyodo.

is Tani's first rel. the "Real" 1/220? Or was it the 2nd one? I remember one of them is really 1/144, but I don't remember which one. If it is really 1/144, that would explain it.

The second one is the "real" 1/220. The first one (which is what I have) is the 1/144. The head comparison sorta proves it.

However, another thing of note regarding the TomoA busts: the hands are just a tad shy of 1/100 size. I'll take more comparison when I move into my new place (and start working on these kits).

Sorta like exaggerated perspective design.. some parts smaller, some parts larger. Reminds me of that Yamato image model: where the bow of the ship is larger than the stern.
