Consider this is in HK, the price is not really cheap.
If you are in HK, you can probably get this price or lower by just walking into the store.

I asked about these. You may be interested in the reply.
There used to be three major factories making recasts. Lately, there are quite a number of independent maker/ individual using HK yahoo auction to make and sell selective kits. It is like what we have done on the 144 last junchoon. So how are they? Really case dependent.
While some makers have been in the industry in the past and unfortunately it was not profitable enough to run a shop, so it becomes their part time job. And some seemed to be contractor and have the kits made in mainland china. As for the kits, the original kit can be from original or recast. Yeah, so it is possbile to have recast of recast. (the thin parts will be thinner or tampered with. mould lines, fitting problems, etc.)
For the material, two of the major factories uses Japan imported hei-cast. Some of these ones, as done in mainland china, uses china hei-cast. It is a little different. Don't think they are bad though.
So with the huge variable quality, locals do their market research well enough before they purchase.
But usually, the major ones still makes better kit. And the independent can usually offer lower rates.
