How generous thanks. I've been scouring the net for ages looking for Gaia Gear stuff. I'm doing mecha for the RPG Rifts and Gaia Gear has been a major mecha influence.

Rifts? I played that game. Had lots of fun. Haven't had time to play it for a few years now.

Were the Gaia Gear pages and the man machine images here at Gears Online a help to you?

Oh yeah a huge help. I am all about 70's/80's sci-fi design, and Gaia Gear, to me, represents the zenith of that aesthetic. Rifts of course is all about 80's animation/sci-fi art especially the NGR/Triax stuff which is what I'm working on right now. So in short your site has been a major resource to me. Thanks buddy.

Hey Rifts, used to play it every weekend, good times and memories. :D I pirated the PA designs from Dorvack and Mospeada and the vehicles from Dougram for my old campaign.
Do you understand?

I'm glad the Gaia Gear images are a help to you. They influenced my work on Rifts as well.

They're still some of the most beautiful mecha designs I've ever seen, and I'm grateful to Tachyon for letting me help him with the Gaia Gear images.

Yeah Gundam has been a huge influence on my work, artistically and thematically. Right now I'm working (writing and illustrating) on a Federation of Magic II world book, and the whole Char Aznable story arch has been hugley influencial. In this book there is tons of political intrigue and it all sort of swirls around a renegade hero I've developed for the book. He's a character I've been working on for 6 plus years, and the unique archetypes within Gundam have really inspired my work.

That is why Gaia Gear, has been so fascinating to me. It seems to put Char back in the position of a renegade hero, similar to what he was in Zeta. Even though it's considered AU now, in my mind it is the true far flung future of the UC.

I've got character images scanned but I'm having trouble finding any time to sit down and resize them for the Web. I'll do what I can. My youngest son needs constant supervision now. He's old enough to stand up by table now and everything goes in his mouth.

I've been finding a little time after work each day before I go home to clean up images on my office machine. I'm about half way through the images for the secret project. It's not a big secret, really. I just like to have a surprise every once in a while.

These images are not yet a permanent part of Gears Online.

These are fantastic! Where did you get these images? Is there an art book?

I got them from the 5 novels. I've never seen an artbook for Gaia Gear.

I'm new here. I'm starting a scratch-building project of a 1/100 scale GUSSA IIB. Might try to get someone to cast it for me. Thanks for your link. I got the specs and aren't they close to the RX-93 scale height?
