I NEED the Jagd Mirage book. I have the Volks kit.

Did you know that a lot of other forums are banning Ebay links?

It has a tendancy to start flaming wars about price raping and quality issues.

I already had a bid on that TT Concept book and now have been out bid.

If anyone has one to part with please let me know before I pay more than I really want to for this Ebay listing.

hahaha That's terrible.
Saying eBay postings are bad just because you want the bid...? :D

I appreciate posts that let me know of auction items I otherwise wouldn't have found out about.
Have won a few items that way.

I can see Coby's point of view, but Happy has been posting eBay links since day one and so far we haven't had any flame wars on FSS boards over auction items. It's a small fan community and a fairly well behave one.

I say it's evil to post ebay links  especially when it involves a Jagd Mirage

This has to be the most expensive book I've bought . . . now I HAVE to buy a TT Jagd Mirage . . .

Anybody have the book to part with.

And honestly I have been annoyed by the Ebay postings since day one. I check for FSS stuff every day.

here is a link to that thread I mentioned.

Well, I wouldn't mind scanning it once I get the book and share them here. Then again, I can't promise great scans.

Sorry cobywan, I really wanted the book, It was the best excuse for me to hopefully grab the Jagd TT if there's still one left over at hobbyfan.

I know the feeling with ebay links specially when you're pinchy about a monthly spending budget. Always gets me side-tracked :P

That price is insane. That book doesn't worth half of that. And that's not the first time Concept note was on ebay.

The truth is, I notice a lack of bidding on original resin MH kits at ebay to the pt. that the winning bids in the past years (since the recession) is below the original Japanese list price. I notice that on a lot of original MH kits, if not all.

Likewise, w/ books, look at the Motor Headd Saga book. When I bought it in 1999 in a Japanese bookstore in Torrence, CA, I paid $120.

In the past few posting at ebay, including one that Sheizzel sell, it's more like $30 to $50, and virtually noone bids.

This is actually one of those rare scenario that a book like this got so high. I don't need to guess what the original Japanese yen price is, but I know it can't be $80, in fact, isn't true that it is free, c/w the Volks kit?

Anyhow, Sheizzel or Natsukage who bought it can scan every page and upload it here. Or upload to imageshack.us and post the link here.

Isn't that the whole point?

I'm annoyed also about ebay auctions being posted, especially the FSS ones. I check ebay everyday for a deal, only to find towards the end of something I'm watching/bidded on, happy posts a link.

Then afterwards, the bids start coming in, before the normal snipers hit. Prime example was that WSC Sr-3 that was up a while back.

Once I saw that Coby had bidded on the concept book, I didn't want to touch it. I left it for him. Jack can vouch for me on that one.

But that's only looking at a buyer's point of view. As a seller on ebay, It's really hard to get traffic on an item you sell on eBay by just posting it. It's very rare to really cash in on reselling your somewhat "rare" items. Posting on ebay isn't always just enough, heck, even posting on a few message boards could only make it at least close to "breaking even."

Luckily, the guy selling the Jagd book got his item posted on a msg board for fans of FSS that actually want the item. Why it got so high compared to Models/Kits? I guess the thing that popped into my head was "hey, I can always get a kit later but this is a rare find at least for me" since, I rarely do browse ebay I usually sell rather than buy so Happy posting it here did help both prospective buyer and the seller get what they both want.

No one likes to receive less than they what the paid for. The feeling of selling an item for half of what you paid for it does hurt the seller.

I apologize for causing so much commotion with my ebay listing. And yes, I am the one selling the Concept Note...

The original price for this book is 1500yen. I've seen this book being sold a couple of times a very long time ago on YahooJapan for what I considered as a good price( around 4000yen at the time ). It is rare, even by YJ standard, I think.

To be honest, I was expecting a lot more from the book in terms of page count. Although it has very nice pictures of the TwinTower, there was only 28 pages. I saw what I needed to see from this book and I decided to let it go by using ebay. And yes, I am also surprised to see the price it has brought in, like my other listing for FSS printed materials.

What I try to do as a seller is to provide accurate informations regarding the items I'm selling, and let the bidders handle the rest. This is why I've always taken as many photos as possible so the bidder would know what he/she is getting. I hope that I didn't mislead anyone with this or any other listings I've had in the past.

Now I feel like some in here about not wanting ebay links to be posted in here...

Coby, Jinnai did tell me he won't try to outbid you when we had our chat.
