The lines are a bit annoying. I've rubbed them out with windex 4 times already. I tried masking originally, but that didn't work. If the detail was more recessed like the grooves on the armour, it'd be no problem. The main problem I'm having with it is that the tamiya doesn't flow as well as I'd like.. I may switch over to handpainting with citadel, since I can work really well with that.Falk wrote:Nope, there's still a bit of work... The second horn lines (this must be really scary to paint), the wing icon or however it's called (kensai icon ?) and the black lines on the shoulders, the jewel on its forehead...
And don't forget the lower jaw![]()
You should try to make an indirect light set-up, with a large white part (cardboard or whatever) just to reflect your spot light in a soft way, cuz' it looks like the red varies quite a lot depending on the light.
With one direct light as frontlight, and one undirect light as back light, then the other way.
Hey, what's that line on the side of her head on the 5th picture ?
There's no such line on my white Phantom recast. I have the sort of trapzoidal-crenels line, but not this other line on each side of her head.
My lighting whilst painting isn't great at all. I really need to fix up my setup to increase the light amount.. something I've planned to do for the past month, but haven't been bothered going to the store to buy more overhead lamps.
Lower jaw is done. Jack has already seen those photos. I just excluded that and the neck cables from the above imagry, because it's annoying keeping them in place.
The line? It's just a panel line? I've noticed it also on Jack's White Phantom.. I think.. ?
