PS3 Gundam Crossfire: Your thoughts?

Post by J-lead » Fri Nov 10, 2006 10:43 pm

I'm sure that everyone has heard about the PS3 Gundam Game Crossfire.
If not, here's the site: http://ps3-gundam.net/
and some other information:

Well, what are your thoughts? Apparently you can customize your mobile suit's colors and paint schemes as well as weapons and shields. Not to mention upgrade it with more up-to-date parts to keep old suits on par with the newer models.

Looks cool to me. Makes me wish I had time for video games. Is it coming over to the U.S.? I always hope mecha video games will be successful. It helps produce more mecha anime and manga!
If you don't like the news then go make some of your own.

Meeeh... Except the Xamel and Kampfer that have a bit of originality, it looks like they did their best to choose the ugliest MS... :?

Ok I'm a bit harsh, maybe not the ugliest, but the most dull then. Though when you see that ACGUY... The first adjective I used is not really exagerate... quite on par with some of God Gundam...

The RGM79 striker is a bit better than the other variants, but that's all. And it's on PS3, so you can't even add your own :(

Oh yeah... once again I have to remember that most of the MS I like are destined to fight in space I think (Zeta, S...)

Oh well, the game may be fun anyway, and looks well done^^

Hopefully there will be a next gen 0087 game. (with a cockpit view!) I'm praying for one. (maybe with a Thoroghbred style side story.)

There might be a space counterpart to this game if were lucky. (like JtJ and EiS)

Well the game is supposed to be about the grunts of the OYW, it doesn't follow any of the animes nor is it any original storyline. No heroes, hence all the Grunt suits. (aside from EZ8, it's supposed to be Shiro's personal one-of-a-kind salvage job.) It lets you be a random soldier and work your way up through the ranks. As you rank up, you unlock more experianced wingmen and are able to give more complex commands to them. (I heard that Tenneth Jung, the EFF pilot that had more MS kills than Amuro, is a secret unlockable wingman.) With that in mind, I think they picked the perfect suits for the gritty, grunty style. (But no RGM-79SC, what gives?)

I think this new gundam game just the upgrade version the old ps2 game.
From couple gameplay clips I saw, only thing surprised me was the graphic, everything in the game looks, real and pretty.
But the game play just like all the old gundam games, and alot MS are from the old PS2 gundam games. ( why they don't try put some new MS in the game like s gundam)

This will good for the people are first time playing gundam game, not good for the people who were already played several gumam games.
original gundam series rule.
