I finished the Metatron man machines. I need more time to clean up images for the Man Hunter man machines.

Got up the Gussa 1, Universal Drive Unit and the Gids Geese. I need more time to handle 3 2-page spreads for the Bromb Textor and Bromb Textor Production.

Gah! Just when I finished the Gussa 2 images I found more translation work! I have to look up the terms in a diagram for the Gussa 2.

Tachyon, I was just looking at the new additions to the Gaia Gear section and something occured to me. The man-machine listed as the Universal Drive Unit is a Brom Texter with what looks to be a drive unit on its back. Are you sure that the Universal Drive Unit is a seperate MM or an optional pack, like the Minovsky Drive Unit or the Long Drive Unit? I don't like to second guess you, but I remember seeing something on a now dead Gaia Gear site that, I think, listed the Universal Drive Unit as an option available to any Man Hunter MM .
Do you understand?

Good point. When I sit down to code pages again I'll revisit that.

Mmh there's some pretty good designs in Gaia Gear. It's sad to see that the most interesting designs are stuck in short or side stories or things like that (Sentinel, Gaia Gear) while we're fed with boring designs...

It's fun to see some of those designs are awesome (the Kueselin cruiser, Bushing Nugg, most of the mech's), still pretty futuristic, while some on the other hand look cheesy (the Minox aircraft, or the Universal carrier, which doesn't look that great, not my cup of tea^^).

The Gussa II is up now. The diagram translation isn't that great but I think we can get by with it.

Yeah, in the 80's and early 90's it was the Gundam side stories that got most of the innovative mecha designs. The side stories didn't have much profit required of them so there was more room to try new things. The endless repetitive Gundam designs we get these days are because of the need to "minimize financial risk."

Slow progress this weekend but I got the Bromb Texter up. I have one more 2-page spread to finish before I post the Bromb Texter Production.

Then I have a few Quo Vadis images to clean up (not many). I've already started work on a secret project that will hopefully be revealed soon.

I guess that's it. Any questions or comments? Is it ready for the public?

Looks great Tachyon, I'd say it's ready to unveil. I take it that you were able to confirm what I remembered about the long drive unit?
Do you understand?

I don't have much info on Gaia Gear. I'll take your word for it.

Ah! I forgot the 15 contest images! I'll have to fix that this week. Then the Gaia Gear section will really be done.

Do you think you'll post any character art? All the Gaia Gear stuff is so rare, it'd be great if you did. I'd love to see Char, and that Lalah lookalike too.

What was the contest for? Get your mech in the manga or something?

What was the contest for?
Newton told me a while back but I'm having trouble finding a copy of his message. If I remember correctly, before Gaia Gear started up it was announced and the magazine asked Gundam fans to send in images of man machines. I don't know who won the contest.
Do you think you'll post any character art?
Well, I could. I hate to turn down requests (since I make so many requests of other people). There's one color image of Char and some low-res black & white images of other characters. I'll probably get their names wrong but I can give it a shot.
