Favorite Mobile Suit

Post by Tachyon » Fri Aug 01, 2003 3:02 am

In opinion polls in Japan the RX-78 Gundam and the Wing Gundam Zero Custom consistantly rise to the top. What is your favorite mobile suit? It has to be in Gundam but it can be UC timeline or any alternates.

My favorite is the Ex-S Gundam from Gundam Sentinel.

My favorite gundam

Good choice Tachyon, the Ex-S is one of the best ever designs. My favorite is a spin off of the Ex-S,the Ex-S(Bst) plan 303E Deep Striker. No it may not have legs, but that 56 megawatt battleship grade cannon on the right shoulder makes up for it.My second favorite would be the C Plus Zeta Hummingbird,as you can tell I like suits that are different(read lots of fire power) from the norm.
Do you understand?

I'm a Formula Person myself, and my favorite gundams are the Crossbone Gundam line. How can you not like these suits? They look totally kick arse, great speed, good range of weapons and equipment, etc, etc.

Has to be the Nu Gundam, simplistic, uet tottaly powerful, without or without the fin funnels. Look at the way it fought the Sazabi, hand to hand, and the Sazabi had that nasty little Scattering Mega Particle gun. The Fin Funnels only increase it's overall power.

I like the Wing Zero's look, but it's Twin Buster Rifle is....impossible, unrealistic, and kind of useless when it faces too many foes, they could swarm and while it's firing and......ack. Not to mention that the recoil ALONE tore off the suits arms.

Wow, thats a tough one. I would have to say my favorite would be the Kampfer from 0080. I just love the way that thing looks. A close second would be the Doven Wolf and Xekueins.

I've got about three favorites that consistently rotate:

RX-78 GP-01 (and the fb) Zephyranthes
RX-93 Nu Gundam
RGZ-91 Re-GZ (Refined Gundam Zeta)

:D

Himitsu The Hunter

Hmmm...

The only Gundam series that i TRUELY LOVED will remain 8th MS-Team. This is because of the BAD-ASS use of the Goof Custom...

I want me one of those!!! ^_^

RX-178 Gundam Mk-II for me. May not be the toughest suit out there, but I like the design. Killer AEUG colors don't hurt either.

For me, besides (obviously) the Plan 303E are:

gp03S
Ex-s
Nouvel GM III

On the bad guys side:
Xeku Eins (gotta love the variations)

Quin-Mantha , Byalant (always wondered if the designer wasn't trying'
to anglecize ' Violent'), Marasai, Zeta and Double-Zeta...this is one of
those lists that could just keep growing....

Yeah, the Byalant was a great design. I can't wait to buy the Z Gundam DVD's and see it in action. A fan art submission to a hobby magazine years ago shows the Byalant II. I should scan it and show it to everyone. That will have to wait for summer, though. Almost everything is packed in boxes.

A Byalant II ? Well, I waited over 15 years to watch Votoms with
subs, I think I can manage a few months 'til summer. :P

The hobby mags have some great variants,I found images online of four Z Plus variants that look awesome,I think the site credited Dengeki Hobby Magazine as the source.

The Byalant II is an unofficial fan art submission. It has 4 arms. Two larger, main ones and 2 smaller ones. I'll see if I can get an image.
