They are saying it's around HK$400. But:

平心而論, 佢d件gei質素的確進步jor好多
只係.........
原件...d甲都已經薄到好似薯片咁,
d件好似粒米咁大, d水口除時大過粒件.

Since I don't buy recast, that's someone else problem.

Um...
The computer translation of that made no sense... Do you think you could tell me the gist of what it says? (I got something about a "grain box to the US", heh).

The language is Cantonese, a dialect of Chinese.

i read from that thread that many people have doubts about Magic Box's recasts, esp for robot kits. however from the quote given by happy, this guy is saying that the m-box's recast quality have improved alot already, only that the original kit has very thin armor, and parts as small as rice grains. (if i'm not wrong, he's saying that it's gonna be very hard to recast these parts well, since they are so small and thin).

Happy >> u are from HK? 8)

Originally when I was a kid, I live in HK. And your translation is right on.

FOr HK$400, that's like only US$50. That's very cheap for a recast, I strongly suspect it is HK wholesale recast price.

If the casting method cost & labor is so cheap in HK, can you imagine G- sys charging hundreds to thousands of their kits?

You think the 1/35 Ex-S is over price at $1400, now $2200. I know it is different size. But if you work the amt. of resin and no. of parts of the Tani's KOG vs. the 1/35 Ex-S, you can see the Ex-S is greatly overprice.

1/144 V3 is simply a recast project while 1/35 EX-S is an original project which took G-sys 1-2 years to complete. I don't see the comparison between the two.
