New kits by Volks on the horizon

Post by Falk » Wed Feb 25, 2009 12:31 am

Haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere :
-1/32 LED Mirage bust, a page is up on Volks' site : http://www.volks.co.jp/jp/fss/hsg_ledbs/products.html
-1/100 Bang Doll : plastic
Have a look here, down the page for some painted pictures of the LED bust and grey Bang doll : http://blog.livedoor.jp/azure_toy_box/a ... 41440.html

that 8000 yen bangdoll, is that IP? Because at that price, it can't be resin

The SMM description doesn't say much, it basically describes that zoukei-mura included movable joints while remaining as close as possible to how the bang doll looks in design. It doesn't say much about how good its articulation is, nor does the picture show how posable the bang doll is.

does the 1/32 bust c/w semi-transparent resin covering for all its external parts (any parts that is Not internal skeleton structure)? Because some seller at ebay does. And I can't find any zoom in photo from Volks that shows any sort of semi-transparent covering

The armor parts are cast in clear. If you paint them right you can make them translucent like in the buildup photos. I just finished cleaning up the parts for the kit I from e2046. It's a super sweet model. I wish I could have afforded an original kit because it's totally worth the full price.

hi everyone

the 1/32 Led from e2046 is clearly the poorest quality kit I have ever seen in 10 years of recast.. of course I was amazed by the size and everything when opening the box, but believe me, nothing fits together, many broken parts, holes, cracks in clear resin as well as bubbles, i.e. totally unworkable... I have many pictures if anyone interested.. e2046 only cares about giving the cheapest prices and their quality is proportional with it. it is a complete waste of money.. you should spare some more and get the SMS workshop version (available at hobbylink for the same price as in China), you can even get a precleaned super clear version (it's really crystal clear!!) for a hundred box more. totally worthy especially when you think of the hours and professional electric tools you'd need to get close to their special finish. write me an email if you need more infos as I don't check this forum very often. I also have many pictures of the SMS kit for those interested.
