1/72 Me-2 Type62

Post by TSP » Mon Oct 13, 2008 4:01 pm

I know I'm not very famous for finishing my models (See BGC build) but this one is something I wanted to have done these days. It's bugging me for at least 13 years now. Finally decided to build one from scratch but also because I want to return the 1/144 sample wants to its rightful owner.

The preliminary body work are finished. Don't like how small the escape port bay on the backside of the tower looks like it's too small at the moment. Guess I'll need to fill up this area with some Milliput for about 2mm.
These days I'll start with building the cannons.

What is this? I don't remember it as part of the FSS universe?

It's a tank from the series. Nagano's armor from the series has be harshly neglected over the years. I'd kill for some 1/35th scale armor from FSS.

As Cobywan said it's from FSS. It appeared in the comicbooks during the Hagooda Trio de Colus war. There's a lot more info on this craft on the main site.

BTW just red on Hobby Fanatics today that MMC is holding a FSS Mecha competition this month.

The last 2 weeks my new job ruled my life. But today I managed to get the blanks for the cannons cut out and the barrels filed conical. The little tank is for size comparison.

Finished building the raw parts for the second cannon. Now its time to get the mountings for the side armor and cannons done. After that I can finally start detailing all the parts. Its already taking too long and I'm behind my schedule.
