Volks SAV BangDoll?

Sigh. Why are they re-doing things like Bang Doll (and Sr1 earlier) when there are so many new MH to do still?

Volks still has so many to choose from: Early Kan, Flamberge Temple, Gastness Temple, Jade Temple, Heavy Cross Mirage, T-233, Black Phantom, Groon....

Ah well. I suppose it'll be nice to have a Volks-styled Bang Doll that isn't shrimpy like the MM.

This is unexpected. Not altogether unwanted, either. This could be a very nice Bang indeed.

strangely, many people, feels the curent Volks Bang is the better one. i personally feel WSC is better.

Yeah, it seems lots of people dislike WSC Bang, but I'm one of those who actually like it. I like both versions, actually. WSC Bang and Volks Bang are very different in size and styling, and both have their good points. The main weakness of the old Volks Bang is its small size. Volks new SAV kits are a good size and very very nicely sculpted, so this new Volks Bang (I'm assuming it will be SAV) should be great. Plus... fixed post not MM. So much easier to build.

Because of the dual colours of the parts, I'm worried that this is simply a port-over from MM to SAV. I worry.

I'm in the camp that supports the Volks Bang. WSC is definitely more accurate to the early appearances in the manga (didn't the Bang only appear ONCE?), but stylistically, the Volks Bang is far more beautiful. I like Volks' detailing style, too.

Price listed at 24800yen, which is significantly more than the MM. Volks kits are getting more expensive these days...

why sell for 16K when you can sell for 24K? The more recast there is out there, the higher the original will be.

I don't own the original kit, so I wonder from the 3rd photo down, if it were the original, is the sculpted "flower shape" edge more vivid than the recast? Because the "flower shape" edge looks shallow and not clear cut.

That IS a very good recast, Looks like pressure cast to me!
I see no mold lines at all. Easy Cleanup!
