Site Copying Gears Online Content

I Emailed the Webmaster last week and told him about the situation but there has been no reply.

I was hoping those of you with some time could send an Email to this Webmaster and let him know that copying of this sort is not going to go unnoticed.

The color image is same size and same file name. The other images match my images and are exactly the same size. He says on his page that the original scanner was unknown but the images were floating around Battletech message boards. Before Gears Online really started I had a Battletech page with those images and I posted the link on Battletech message boards.

I would be willing to let this guy keep displaying my images as long as he links to Gears Online and say where the images came from.

Let it go Tachyon, it isn't worth the stress. Besides, all you did was scan the art, you didn't draw it or own the designs, so are they really yours?

And I ask that as one of the biggest pirates on the net.

You just have to figure that if you post it, someone is going to use it for themselves. If you think that is wrong, then the guy who published the book you scanned probably feels the same way you do about you scanning his book.

I have to agree with knowlton, the stress isn't worth it. It would be nice if people credited GOL with the images, but once the images have been circulated a few times, it's not likely to happen. With sites like 2chan and 4chan, anonomous image boards, the images get mass exposure and copying, so you can't really stop the use of them.
