Does anyone know the story behind the publishing of the English FSS manga?
I have a copy of issue #1 from 1997 - the cover is mostly black (with a smaller picture of the Japanese manga - Lachesis & KOG) and the translation was done by Trish Ledoux & Toshi Yoshida (ex-Viz folks, I believe).
The current manga (starting in 2002?) has covers identical to the Japanese (but larger), translation by John Wisnom, and the bonus material is fairly different from the previous edition (and a very different editorial).
So were Toys or Nagano-san displeased with the original version? I think that both translations were well done.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Question about the English manga

I also have that first edition.
That was the test market run limited production release of the English version.
Only one volume was published and was not reprinted in that form again.
So keep it in good shape.
I won mine by writing a book review to ToysPress.
How did you get yours?
I didn't think they were sold in stores...
