I have always wondered about those Mirage Machine "Laser Reflectors" and how they work. Do they use magnetic fields/gravitic fields to direct lasers to them to be absorbed? This has to be the case, otherwise, only lasers that target the shoulder regions would be absorbed.

At least now we have the explanation that the "reflectors" absorb laser energy and re-route it to the generators, which is what I always thought they did.

Has Nagano ever even shown the laser reflectors in use? Maybe all the enemies know better than to try. Characters 1 also indicates that there is an alternative wide-angle projection reflector for offensive use. The same image is also on the lower right of Designs 2 p168.

I don't recall seeing the laser reflectors in use in the manga. Mirage Machines have only been used 3 times thus far, so there hasn't been a lot of opportunity yet. Maybe when the Mirages join the fight during The Sorcerer Wars, we will see them in use.

Great work :D

PS: I think there's a typo on the LED Mirage Page. In the "From A Temple to B Temple" section it says "as the show started its broadcast in ’94". As the text implies the show is L-Gaim, it should be "as the show started its broadcast in ’84", right?

Thanks for the note. I have contacted the site's administrator. He'll send you some forms to fill out and once you mail those in he can schedule a technician to look at the issue and recommend a revision. If the review committee agrees, the revision will be added to next year's schedule (or I could just fix it today but what fun would that be?).

Has anyone heard anything from FSS fans about the Internal Structure article we put up?

I'ts an epic effort, that's for sure. Its this type of stuff that makes me such a big Nagano fan and I am deeply appreciative of the excellent job done here. This was my most wanted translation of Nagano's work, and now its here!

I certainly hope that Nagano's new direction doesn't invalidate all the awesome work he did on this stuff before. I really love the way he detailed and explained his MH's. I don't want him to abandon them now :(

Do you really think his new work on FSS will change things that much?
