Knight of Gold confusion...

Post by terminus » Wed Apr 23, 2008 2:59 am

I'm alittle confused about the Knight of Gold versions.

-What exactly is the KOG version 3? (it looks differant from the KOG D2, and KOG D1) and does it come after or before the KOG D2?

-What's all the stuff about the KOG and the 7777?

-If the KOG D1 is lost in the 7777, and the KOG D2 is obliterated, does AKD still have a flagship MH?

thanks!

There are going to be some Spoilers in here, but Nagano himself has absolutely no problem giving away spoilers, so I guess I shouldn't either.

The Knight of Gold D1 is lost in a Teleportation accident (was it an accident or Divine Intervention?) and thus the reason the D2 was built. The KOG D1 (and Lachesis) travels around the multiverse meeting various characters and getting into adventures and trouble. It returns to the Joker Galaxy in the year 7777 where Amaterasu and Lachesis will be reunited and promptly married.

After the D1 is lost, the D2 is created and remains the AKD Flagship MH until 4100's when the D2 and the rebuilt Junchoon meet and destroy one another. After that titanic battle, the AKD is defeated, dismantled and the galaxy is united under the flag of Colus.

I'm not sure whats going on with the KOG version 3. I think they talk about it in Knight Flags? (not sure)

o..that clears it up...there's no flagship since AKD is gone. And the KOG d1, actually survives longer than KOG D2. So both Junchoon and KOG D2 gets destroyed?

at the time when everyone is united under Colus, is the Mighty Series still not destroyed?

Hope this is not gonna be confusing... and the spelling of names might not be consistent...

The KOG series includes the following:

1. Water Dragon (Schpeltor)
2. KOG LC (Lachesis)
3. KOG AT (Atropos)
4. The Will
5. MMT Venus

1. Water Dragon (Schpeltor)
Formal name is KOG Water Dragon. Originally built for Dimos Hierarchy, later taken over by Kaien and renamed Schpeltor. The very first of the KOG Series, the Water Dragon is also called Knight of Chrome. It is actually similar in design to the prototype of the KOG series - Patraqushe Alusqull (the Auge which Atropos used and got destroyed by Allen Braford and not the MM one used by Green Neiper). For this reason, sometimes Alusqull is also considered part of the KOG series (being a prototype). Alusqull was originally made for Kaien but he didnt use it.

In 2992, it was modified to carry a LED Mirage Veil (shield) for Lonn's use.

In 3010, Kaien brought the Schpeltor when he joined Atoll, and it was modified (only external looks or maybe more?) by Maggie Corter and called Schpeltor Atoll. After Kaien is killed, it was found left in the MH hangar by Joejid Matoria and now "belongs" to him. (yucks)

2. KOG LC (Lachesis)
The one we see in Vol 1. Knight of Gold Lachesis, also called Destiny Mirage, formal name is Knight of Titin D. Built in shiny gold at Lachesis' request. It underwent several modifications, Ver 3 being the one seen in 3007 with the bow. (i guess Sopp likes to upgrade his toys, LED Mirage gets upgrades too) It underwent another modification around 3030 disguised as the pink MH Luminous Mirage (Calvary R) at the request of Hugtrang for Wascha's use. This KOG will be lost during 3239 attack on Kallamity and Lachesis used it to travel to various other worlds. Finally returns back to Joker in 7777, and again re-modified to become the final (?) version 11 - named KOG Lachesis Marriage or KOG II. The story about Kallen being found in Taika, she emerges from the head of this KOG II.

3. KOG AT (Atropos)
KOG AT, also called Patraqushe Mirage, formal name Knight of Titin D2. This is the one that looks like the normal KOG but with a "Crown" on its head.

After KOG LC was lost in 3239, Sopp built the KOG AT based on what remains of the Patraqushe Alusqull, esp the engines (yup the one Atropos used). Thus u can see the similarity in the names and face plate, and relation to Atropos. KOG AT is built to be similar in performance to the older KOG LC. Since KOG AT gets destroyed by Junchoon in 4100, there's no more than one KOG in Joker at any one time (we dont usually call Schpeltor KOG even though it is the first of this KOG series).

4. The Will
Not a MH but a flagship with ability for dimensional flight. Uses two Izlaser engines that are similar to the KOG. Designed by Chrome Ballanche and built by Amaterasu.

5. MMT Venus (sometimes spelt Vinus?)
Formal name is Knight of Titin Kallen. Not a MH but a MMT built for Amaterasu's daughter Kallen. Not much is known.

There might be one more unknown.

Anyway, these are considered very old, who knows Nagano might change the story / specs anytime. As for Mighty Series, nothing is said about it apart from the Majestic Stand arc.

that's the KOG LC ver 3.

KOG after 7777 - in the manga we only saw its head, which looks "similar" to the older versions of KOG, so maybe we can expect similar design for the body but who knows. Although there might be gkits/models which uses the name 'KOG over 7777" or similar, they're not really canon until Nagano shows us more. ;)
