Newtype says the serialization will be back in February 2016, which should be the March issue, and Designs 5 should start selling on the same day (February 10). There will also be some sort of FSS-related bonus in the April issue as it will be the 30th anniversary.

I'm here. I heard about the serial resuming in February. I fear its been so long he's lost all momentum. But I will follow it nevertheless.
I look forward to seeing that next designs book as well.

Got mine. As suspected given the timeframe, Designs 5 is smaller than the previous Designs books, and actually has "Characters XIIII" on the title page. It contains the usual array of new and old art, focusing mostly on the military groups involved in the current conflict, followed by eight delightful pages just talking about food and then all the school uniforms again because I guess Nagano had nothing better to put there. There's a nice couple pages in the military equipment detailing the gunblades, and a few diagrams indicating the ridiculous melee combat range of sword saints.

Thanks for the info, levrin. I got my 2 copies of FSS Designs 5 yesterday. I noticed it was smaller than previous FSS Designs books. Not a lot of mecha images. They aren't called mortar headds anymore, right? What are they called now? I will need some help understanding the changes to FSS terminology.

They are called GothicMade. or GtMs now.
I would like to see that information on Sword Saints. I'm still obsessed with all the minutia about Sword Saints and Chivalries etc.
