Confused about the Alteisen

I've got Dengeki Hobby Magazine pieces showing images for both the PTX-003C Alteisen and the PTX-003-SP01 Alteisen Riese.
What's the relationship between these 2 similar-looking mechs?

They're both from Super Robot Wars, to begin with....

Yep, Alteisen Riese is an upgrade. It's bigger, tougher, and features beefed-up versions of the Alteisen's attacks. Riese means "giant"

Weißritter's spare parts were also used for upgrading Alteisen to Alteisen Riese~

Alteisen Riese is my Favorite mecha, because it can withstand so much damage and has a large beam coat with high speed and large armor.
The weapons of the ALT is for ultimate Solo Mission like and espionage

After being critically damaged, the Alteisen is repaied with parts that were originally rejected for the unit for being too large and cumbersome. To counter this weight, the unit is now equiped with a testla drive, which has become proven technology in the year since the Alteisen originally rolled out. However, even though it is equiped with lift generating EOT, the unit is still too heavy to fly. The Testla Drive is required to allow the unit to stand under it's own power, as the added weight has made the unit even more unstable. This rebuilt machine was rechristened the "Alt Eisen Reise", meaning "Old Iron Giant".
All of the weapon systems present on the Alteisen have been improved. The Revolver Stake has been replaced with the much larger Revolving Bunker, while the Square Claymores have been modified to store more ammo. The Alteisen's Heat Horn has been swapped for the more powerful Plasma Horn, and the Tripple Barreled Autocannon hs been replaced with a five cylinder Gattling Cannon.
The Alteisen Reise is now even more cumbersome, and more powerful than it ever has been, and Kyosuke is truely the only man capable of weilding such a machine.
