SRW OG: Divine Wars

Post by Poseidal » Tue Oct 03, 2006 7:49 am

This is an upcoming series based on Ryusei's path in SRW OG on the GBA; this is a TV series and NOT the OVA.

The characters look nicer than their renditions in the OVA, it looks good so far but I'm not sold on the 3D models used for the robots (though I suspect it's used to save on budget).

As long as it's well directed and the story works out well, it could be quite nice despite use of the models (which are good models, but the way 3D is animated just isn't as nice).

It's okay -- CLAMP did Magic Knights Rayearth! They know from mecha... Actually, they know who to go to for mecha. Toshihiro Hirano directed all the Rayearths, including the OVAs.

I've got faith in this show!

See the show in its proper resolution. I think you'll change your mind.

To get it, see my post in the "Other Series" section.

I have to say, the OP is deliciously old school.

The first episode was pretty good, I thought. Looking forward to seeing more of the characters too.

I agree. Episode One was fun! I'm glad we get to see the Inspector Army this time, instead of just seeing them in flashbacks. Plus, I like the CG work.

I, too, am looking forward to seeing more of the characters. It looks like a real interesting bunch. It also looks like more characters are going to get screen-time in the show.

I'm excited!

I hope they'll get as far as the Inspectors. They are one of my favorite SRW antagonists... I'd love to see their machines fully animated. Especially Dikastes, which I felt got kinda hosed in OG2 (didn't move much...)

Anyways, I have to say I was impressed by how the Megilot looked. They actually looked quite intimidating.
