Thumb Drives are Cool

Post by Tachyon » Wed Jan 17, 2007 4:48 pm

I just switched this week from 100MB Zip disks to a SanDisk 2GB thumb drive. This thing is great! I dumped all of Newton's Starfront images onto it without even worrying about space. I should have done this a while ago.

Is anyone else using these little guys?

How much did it cost?

It was a Christmas gift. My wife got a laptop, I got a thumb drive. How do you like that?

They are very cool. I can store all my mecha imagery and other files on this thing and not have to worry if my computer decides to crap out on me.
I too got a 2GB unit for Christmas and I've got room to spare on the thing still.

I have a 128MB drive... I win. :P

Just use it for college papers and stuff though, so I don't really need even that.

I've got a 1GB Sandisk on a lanyard.

I like it, but I'm still not used to using it - I've always been bad with wearing jewelry so I forget to carry it and then wish I had it with me.

I'm lucky if I can manage to keep my cell phone with me 99 days out of 100.
