Getting Upset with HLJ

Post by Tachyon » Thu Feb 02, 2006 10:07 pm

What is with Hobbylink Japan these days?! I order stuff and they sit on the order until they run out of stock. Why?!

Day after day they do nothing and then they give me a healthy helping of attitude when I Email them and ask them what's up. Is anyone else having the same problems?

Well, I guess it depends on the item. If its a really popular item, there might be alot of people with orders ahead of you, or people with orders that were carried over when HLJ ran out of stock the last time.

I don't seem to have any problem ordering through them, its only when I order one of the more popular items that something like you described happens.

i suspect the stock status is not updated until they actually go pack ur shipment and find out that there's no more.

Tachyon:

What did you order? Also, it's uncool that they give you attitude when you try to get things ironed out. That's bad customer service, and warrants a complaint.

I just got notice that they got in my copy of Dengeki Super Robo #1 - by way of them telling me that they tried to charge my card for it. I just sent them the go-ahead to ship, but their system put in a ship order for another item that I have on pre-order.

They haven't ever given me a hard time, but this 'Net order confusion is most disturbing.

EMS is faster, SAL (Surface Air Lift) is cheaper.

The only real problem I've ever had with HLJ was my Hucky Mk. III taking way too long to arrive. I just ordered the Armored Core kit, its custom parts, a Zeon wristband, and the Hazel Custom, and the order went out whole and quickly, though in the past it has taken them quite a while to get restocks on certain items.
