FSS winged machine mess *in reconstruction* (Page 3 update)

Post by wjrmonkey » Sat Mar 03, 2007 8:05 pm

Hi all. I've seen some interesting designs here and decide to show a rough concept sketch of mine as well. It is an original mecha design inspired by the five star stories machines by Nagano Mamoru. I tried to give it an elegant and princely appearance. This model would be classified as a machine messiah. So far it is tentatively named the winged messiah - the royal leader of a new division of aerial mortar headds and distant relative of the Amaterasu Kingdom Demesnes. More detailed design and story background has yet to be worked out.

Here's another different sketch of the same mecha

This is the same winged machine messiah portrayed in a lively scenario. The mecha is resting on the cliff, admiring a Led Mirage's mechanical head after defeating it.
I know it's kinda difficult to tell amid all the chaotic lines so far. One day I'll clear up the concept sketch when I have the luxury of time.[img][/img

They look interesting. It will be nice to see them cleaned up.
If you don't like the news then go make some of your own.

Hi, here are two custom fatima portraits I've done recently for fun. Sometimes I imagine they will be piloting my custom motar headds. :P

I love the style of drawing, rough round the edges and not super processed; simply fantastic

I think that's Painter or Photoshop work. CG mate.

I used ArtRage actually. It is however not the full version, but the "junior" version renamed as Ink Art that comes along within the Microsoft tablet PC package.

Here are some more FSS-esque stylized figures I drew. Fatima or not, I just want them to look elegant and fragile.

More detailed designs

Time for me to continue the winged machine mess design.

It took a long time partly because each and every shape(component) of this thing could be perfected further and further, where there's really no end in designing and re-designing, and untill one has to throw up his hands shouting "enough is enough, I can't stand it any longer! ... I'm done with this thing".

With some classic ornament. Still in the design phase.
