Hey, Nagano fans!

These images are from the Schell Bullet novels. I scanned them and Falk cleaned them up. Thank you, Falk! Once Falk has some computer trouble worked out I'm hoping he'll help clean up the color character images. The line art from Schell Bullet hasn't been scanned yet but I'll get on it. I think the upcoming Schell Bullet section at Gears Online is going to be great.

I'm avoiding the office today and flying through the Schell Bullet line art. I've even captured the all-important deli scene. How could I bring you Schell Bullet without the deli scene?

The only trouble is, I can't understand what a lot of the images are. So far I have "ship a" through "ship f" scanned and cleaned up. Just wait till you see Ship G! (drumroll)

Nagano really is the man. His mechs are always so sweet. I can't wait for the Schell bullet section on gears. Thanks

The line art for Schell Bullet has all been scanned and cleaned up. Some of the titles can probably be translated with my kanji dictionaries so I'll work on that this week. Above, you'll see links to 2 images. The all-important deli and the flight deck of the Ronu Balt.

UPDATE
I finished the limited translation that I'm going to do. Some of the items in diagrams were beyond me as Nagano and the Schell Bullet author created their own technical terms. For example, I kept seeing "orgon box" but I have no idea to what that refers.

The ships and schells of Schell Bullet are at least partially organic. I know that was an issue much-debated for 5 Star Stories before we finally learned that the mortar headds don't actually have organic materials in them. For Schell Bullet, however, there really are organic parts and biological DNA inside the machines. For example, the Rogne Balt has a nerve center.

I'm about out of time for this weekend but the next time I can sit down in front of my computer I only need to resize images and code pages. The main work has been completed.

Do you suppose that this "Orgone Box"? There is a psuedo-technology in the early parts of the 20th century called and "Orgone Box". You can find diagrams and explanations on the web.

Basically it was a specially designed box that would capture/collect "Orgone" energies from the surrounding area. The box had an "Orgone Shooter" which was a suggestively shaped glass rod that connected to the box by a rubber hose. A person would use the Shooter to "inject" the Orgone stored in the box into another person. This injection would cure a variety of ailments, like baldness, cramps, republicanism, free silver, etc. and improve the sex life.

I suppose it's possible that Schell Bullet took that idea and ran with it. I wish I knew more.

No, I haven't forgotten this project.

That's an average schell cockpit.

That's the start page so far. The links in the Schell Bullet menu don't work yet.

Yaay! Finally, a nice looking (with decent info and pics) fansite! I went out and tried to find stuff on it, but couldn't. The sites that were given to me over in the FSS catagory no longer works for some reason.

http://www.gearsonline.net/schellbullet/

That mecha above reminds me of the half corpse/cyborg/Frankenstein wanna-be machine of the second episode in the Oedo City 808 anime. Especially the red tubes coming out in the back. Both even has very similar color schemes.

Also, here's a link to a one page general info about Schell Bullet. http://www.mediaminer.org/anime/view_info.php/450

Do you have any info about the anime?

There's an anime OAV? I had no idea. Has anyone seen it?

The other director, Kunihiko Ikuhara, said himself that they are considering an anime...

Here he's saying yes to the animated question...I don't know why the transcript has been cut off by the way:

But here Ikuhara is saying he had offers to make an anime which he didn't take:

Of the two...I'm not sure of what to believe.

Yay! Progress! The link above should lead you to the Scenes page where we can see 8 snapshots of life aboard the Rogne Balt.
