Your right, not untill February but i thought i'd add it anyway since it's not too far away.

I also kept the list within the 80's since that is the golden era of anime and the whole mech genre.

I only wish i could add my favourite mech show of them all 'Blue Comet SPT Laynzer' but sadly thats not coming out in the US.

Layzner is one I'm hoping someone will fansub. It is a great show.

As much as my limited Japanese skills (read: functional illiteracy) allow, sure, I'll help with Layzner information.

2KYOM:

Yes, Area 88 is a mecha show. It is not, however, science fiction. The mecha in question are fighter and attack aircraft of the recent past.
