T'was a bit of a technical boo-boo actually: I had someone else scouring Yahoo Japan for me to find one, and I miraculously found one on ebay at virtually the same time. Anyhoo, communications wires got crossed, and I ended up winning auctions for both.

1/100 Volks MM Siren A for sale.

Hi all. I have a 1/100 Volks MM Siren A kit for sale if anyone's interested; I picked this up last year, but I already have 2 others. The kit itself is new in box, all parts still in their sealed plastic bags... Even has the authentic crumpled newspaper packing material :) Asking $150 plus shipping....

A lot of the best kits are over $250 :D

Looks like Gee (whiz) System is pluggin' away at a 1/35 Patriarch... I wonder if it'll be based on the Volks KOG?

Speaking of which, WTF ever happened to that 1/35 Bang Doll project? I remember seeing the promo for it and then zip.

Hi Norsehound. Siren A: Volks MM series. Personally, I find that this kit has tremendous potential, and while the sculpt is older, is still quite presentable. That having been said, it's also a MM kit, which, combined with its disproportionately-heavy upper body, makes for a balancing nightmare in a...

I must be the only person in the english speaking world who actually LIKES the WSC Empress.. The second person. I think the WSC Empress rocks! :D In fact, I'll go a step further and say that the only WSC kit I find to be genuinely sh*tty is the Neptune. The spirit of the design just wasn't preserve...

I'm reasonably-certain that 1/72 will mean "larger than 1/100". Problem is, based on the price of his 1/144 KOG, and judging by how pricy Volks' Auge already was, I dare think that this one will also be colosally-expensive.

That SR-1 sounds interesting. Just out of curiosity, who sculpted Volks' current SR-1?

The color of the sub-armor seems to fluctuate, depending on the sources. Even from art-book to art-book, there are noticeable color fluctuations... No doubt from the printing process. It seems to vary from a deep prussian blue, to a blue violet. My Japanese book I has the KOG artwork with light-grey...

"Nah. Not once. I'm saving the metallics for bodies that look like they use metallics." I agree whole-heartedly. I find that there's been a running trend lately to paint everything metallic and/or pearlescent, and it's driving me apesh*t. While it looks nice on CERTAIN models, some modelers seem to ...

I immagine that the two would be about the same in terms of cleanliness and detail, since they were both mastered by the same sculptor.

Hi Jinnai. Sorry to hear about this little mishap. :?

The Phantom looks like it came away relatively unscathed, all things considered.

I actually finished two FSS kits about 13 years ago. A Wave 1/144 KOG and Volks 1/144 green Berlin. They were covered in a (now defunct)magazine called Mecha Press. The photographer had mangled the KOG even before the photo shoot so it looks retarded in the pictures... My friend then followed suit a...

oh, I don't know about that. I have a whole gaggle of FSS kits waiting to be built myself: I dry-fitted about 5 of them with hot glue just so that I'd have something to look at in between periods of exhaustion. Truthfully, it's not exactly a "relaxing" hobby. Requires lotsa of patience and attention...
