Of course, thats not actually the WildVürger, that's the WildFalken. But yes, it is indeed cool.

Ahhh, he IS cool. Thanks! (He looks kinda like a Z.O.E. Orbital Frame.) Id love to see his non-SD model sheets.

No wonder I didnt recognize him. I have a terrific SRW artbook, but its a couple of years old now, and doesn't have the newest games' mecha in it. Like the Astranagun, sadly.

Actually, as far as the "Wild Shrike" goes... From the germanic spelling of the name, are we sure its not "wild slayer"? Vürger being the german word for Strangler, Serial-Killer, or Slayer...

Re: Desperately seeking something rare.

Ive seen all three of them. Le Deus and Legaciam were pretty weak... they were released as part of the same "series" of mecha OVAs as Dragon's Heaven and Dangaioh (the only one that went anywhere). I have an artbook for Legaciam, and for Le Deus as well I believe. I looooved Hagane No Oni (Demon of ...

Sentai = "combat team" The Super Sentai franchise has become the Power Rangers franchise here in the USA. There have been many more Sentai shows than Power Rangers shows. Tokusatsu = "live-action special effects fare" This covers Sentai, Godzilla, Ultraman, Kamen Rider, and all the other wacky, rubb...

Macross TV series: Fasntastic. One of the best mecha anime ever. And among the realest robots of the Real Robot category. Pretty much cemented the category, really. Macross movie: Also fantastic. One of the best anime movies ever. Holds up to the test of time really well too. Flashback 2012: Pretty,...

I may be wrong, but as far as I know, an INCOM System and a Quasi-Psychommu system are not the same thing... I mean, technically the MAN-03 Braw Bro had "Incoms" (though they were then called simply "wired mega particle cannon") and it was a full-on Psychommu Mobile Armor. Naturally, since the Quasi...

IMO, Gundam 0080 was excellent but for one problem: the stats of the MSs. They were crazy! (Especially the Alex and the Gelgoog Jager.) Gundam 0083 was terrific, but for two problems: (1) It flew in the face of continuity. Previous to its creation, the timelines said that pretty much nothing happene...

This leads me to a pet peev of mine: Why wasn't the incom system used much after Gundam Sentinel? It's a non-newtype weapon and it's plenty powerful. How come we don't see it much after the S Gundam and Gundam Mk. V? More to the point, why wasn't the Quasi-Pyschommu system used at all after Sentine...

Re: *SIGH* Okawara

I agree... but for the fact that Im not convinced Okawara himself actually did the Oldsmobile MSs nor the Silouhette Formula F90/F91 variants. Okawara has a whole slew of assistants -- "Studio Okawara" basically. I detect a subtle but palpable stylistic difference between the MSs of Oldsmobile & Sil...

The problem with the AU MS designs is not their relative realism or unrealism. The problem is that almost all of the MS's for the AU series have been designed by Kunio Okawara, who needs to retire in a BIG way. Okawara sucks. He has never been great. He was the first, and has always been the most pr...
