That would be "Yesterday, Today and No Future", his work from 1985 - 2005.

It's got sections on Giant Robo, Samurai 7, Trinity Blood, Super Atragon, Last Exile and numerous other shows, specialty videos and collectible card games.

Hey Tachyon:

Did you get Makoto Kobayashi's latest book? Since Trinity Blood is doing pretty well on Cartoon Network, it might be cool to do a TB Mecha section.

If memory serves correctly...

Star Front Gall Force ran in Model Graphix back in the day. Now, I've got to go back and find out for sure...

Damn you, Tachyon! Forcing me to resurrect the past!!! :-)

Oh, and one more thing: ninjascience is going berserk putting up images. I am impressed by the number of sources this guy has. Perhaps we should consider an alliance of sorts?

I like the focus on mecha from the 1980s. As Kuruni said, it was the golden age of mecha. That said, we're entering a second Golden Age now. A lot of the Japanese viewing audience has aged to the point where mecha shows are making a comeback. The second Galaxy Railways show is on now, and sports som...

Studio Nue are such naughty little monkeys...^_^ All this cross-dimensional fanservice is pretty funny. Norsehound, your mention of the Arcadia showing up in the Macross Movie reminds me that the Orguss shows up in the final battle of the Macross TV series. I was stunned when I was watching the ep f...

More Stuff to Watch

To continue my rant about new shows, I submit the following: Sokou no STRAIN just started in Japan. It's similar to Stellvia in that there is a young heroine in a space flight academy, and there's that Gunbuster vibe going on. However, the plot twist of the enemy ace being the heroine's older brothe...

Y'know, I share that streak (God help me...). As a matter o' fact, it keeps me from doing the crotch-pit thing myself.

Not only does it look kinda dumb, but my inner Beavis just starts up - "heh, heh, he's driving it's BALLS, heh-heh.."

Hey boy, you dissin' the crotch-pit? Actually, I do find it interesting that there seems to be a lack of irony in the designs of various mecha. At least the Drifand-Dal's driver's seat is forward of a tripod configuration. Brain-Powered, the Zone of the Enders mecha, and Turn-A Gundam just have no e...

nkn:

Rubel's answer is spot-on. I'd follow his advice for scoring the FSS books. Oh, and save up your shekels for Knight Flags -- it's worth the price of admission, trust me!

Hey! Welcome to Gears! :D Regarding the "P" series, they're more Mamoru Nagano fanbooks than FSS books. I've got some of them. As far as Knight Flags, check AKADot.com. I seem to remember them still having Knight Flags. If you shop around, you should still be able to find a copy of Smoke Walls float...

I second that. Joker 3100 is one of the most important of the FSS artbooks.

To further complicate things, the bike names could also be written as "Parky". However, that sounds really lame to me...
