Details? No no no. WSC has a tendancy to make 'more details per square measure' but oftentimes, these details are ugly. They look like they belong on some Gundam from the 80s rather than a Nagano design. Underfoot is pathetic, and I still can't get over the overall ugliness of the detail styling of ...

I find this kit horrendously ugly. The redeeming points come from the light up energy sabre.. but really.. Very smart deduction, John. I personally would have chalked it up to modelling prowess rather than the product Hydraspan. Maybe I should give this product a whirl. I asked in my email: but is t...

And how did I ever miss this talk of the SEXAY SR-2? Sad to hear that it's so short.... yes, sculpting our own seems to be the only real way about this. ... Hrm. Yes. What annoys me is the precise fact the these great kits are never recasted. Instead, we get the ugly ones like the screwed up 1/144 V...

Whereas I love the very idea of MM! Choose your SAV! Really.. most SAV kits lack imagination for their poses.. and just have the stand there and look decent kind of pose.

I intend to build some MMs with Yellow Sub joints, I'll tell you guys how that goes one day.

The new IP LED has clear PCs.. so that isn't a problem. While it being true that there is no underarmour - one could say the same damned thing for the 1/144 kit - and we all agree that's a looker. It's just for effect really.. and for people who can't afford an original V3 or something. It's still v...

John seems to be as sure as sure can be. Well.. I'll keep calm about it.. but this is a big hit for all FSS fans - especially those who like Volks detailing, proportions and style. Perhaps some of the Volks FSS sculptors will now join other companies, or perhaps we'll have to settle for unsatisifact...

For me, re-issueing means that they still have hopes of releasing some new FSS. They're still interested in the market, no?

I don't know.. I'm inclined not to believe this. I'll wait for something more solid before I cast myself into a funeral pyre in grief.

KOG - thanks for the nose-up on the potential floppy problem of the LED Mirage. If you want to fix yours up, I'd get a bottle of Mr. Mask Sol (original) and paint the fluid on all the male joints and let them dry. I did this to my Junchoon and the joints are now 'rock solid'. Incredible joint techni...

Y'know.. the Whits looks suprisingly good in that photo.. I guess the kits don't do it justice. I'd actually -like- ZZ if the thing looked like that.. instead it's all fat and ugly.. The 1/100 LED Mirage kit is still a good, affordable 1/100 FSS kit - and that can't be argued. If properly (key word)...

Did you school the people in the ways of FSS Nu Soard? Heh heh. Engineering? I can argue against this point quite well. I can, as an amature sculpt and resin-cast a kit easily. Can I use CAD programs, prototyping machines, tools and dies and THEN use injection casting? No.. I cannot. The 'engineerin...

First of which, I'd like to thank Mave and Ways.. proving that the FSS fan is civil AND intelligent. What could have easily become a bickering flame war on any other message board has turned back into concession of a civil and intelligent discussion. Back to the topic! The Wave 1/144 LED is great, b...

My opinion: He's right. FSS is relatively low profile. Relatively. It IS pop culture after all, so how low profile can low profile be? Well, you've seen the gathering at the conventions.. but go elsewhere and ask anywhere at an anime con if they've heard of the Five Star Stories Chances are... it wi...
