The WSC looks nicer, and closer to the line-art.

Thanks for the pics Elemental :D

The size difference between the WSC and the MM is more than just noticeable; they litterally look like they're in different scales.

Hi BK.

I'd go for the A-Toll, simply because as you stated yourself, airbrushes will be around for a looooot longer than the kit.

As for the type of 'brush, I'd go for the Aiwata HP-C. You can get them for less than a hndred now, I think.... dixieartsupply.com

Funny thing is, the Mirage machines with their numbers stenciled on them might actually no longer be "in vogue" by the time the Flame equipment is used for the 3159 invasion of Addler. If you look at Nagano's older renderings from the Atork war, and the very first chapter of book 1(Juno 3960), the m...

Hi Elemental. I don't have book 11 JP, but I do have book 5, as well as book 3 which it also appears in. Both times, it's Jabo's Swan version, and it always has 2 shoulder binders. Actually, when you see it in book 5JP, it has the "cobra" veil, whereas in book 3, it doesn't have a veil at all. Basic...

THe delay in the release could very well have been due to liscensing re-negociation/disputes. I know for a fact that the guy at Volks showcase told my client that they were getting out of FSS, but I'm wondering if this wasn't just some kind of bluff to negociate a lower royalty with TP? Either that,...

Funny, didn't the HJ review state the kit as being 25cm tall? (Same size as the old Volks, if I remember correctly.) It might just seem bigger cos of the hefty price tag

Best way to find out? A side-by-side dry fit

Personally, I just want to find out conclusively if they plan to continue with the FSS liscence; I'm hearing all this different stuff through the grapevine now that I'm no longer sure what to believe.

Hi Sheizzel. I ended up selling off the Patriarch along with the bulk of my collection on Wax Trax during the "great purge" a few years ago. The missing part was a big issue when I got the kit in '96, but should the same situation occur now, I'd just sculpt my own part; infinitely easier and faster ...

What Sheizzel said. Besides, Roy doesn't produce or package the models; the cause for the missing part ultimately lies with the bootleggers/recasters who, may or may not be inclined to rectify little hiccups of this nature. FYI, I got an original 1/72 Kaiyodo Patriarch mirage from HLJ with a missing...

There probably isn't enough interest to warrant HJ producing another MH saga book. Like any other business looking to make money, HJ goes with what is popular, what its readers ask for, and what they think its readers want to see, and for some unexplainable reason, that seems to be a relentless tida...

Better yet, Toyspress should market directly to the consumer via an english-language site that you can order from. TP would actually make more money that way cos they wouldn't have to wholesale, and still keep the retail price a few $$ lower than it is now. That way, even if you factor-in shipping f...

Seems like the book was almost a slap in the face to Volks & WSC; the 2 biggest & best FSS liscensors at the expense of a little ego-stroking for Tani-kun.

Somehow, I get a sneaking suspicion that Volks' dropping of the FSS lisence may have been due to more than pure economics.

Actually, from the prices you stated, ALL those kits are bootlegs. Pricey? The original WSC Ashura is more than double that price, and all the others are easily $100 more apiece. Mind you, a bootleg is a better starting point as the next step up from a plastic model... Doesn't hurt nearly as much if...
