Most trafficked anime/mamga boards?

Hi all, Long time no see. I have a question for you, my anime- and manga-knowledgeable bros. Maybe you can help. I'm trying to find the most popular, busiest, most oft-visited message boards/forums dedicated to things anime & manga. Ideally, it would be a board/forum that has a "marketplace" or "for...

VIZ Media, LLC seems to hire a lot of people these days, Newt. It might be worth a shot... ;-)

I visited Forbidden Planet just this past month. Been a long time. Still a cool store.

I find it difficult to categorize Motor Heads (I know, I know, Mortar Headds) as "Real Robots"... They're kinda more like "fantasy robots," which is a fairly exclusive clique. Indeed, the categorization of robots in general is tricky. Super Robots is pretty clear, "Real Robots" covers a really broad...

Interview #1: When/how did you become a mecha fan?

1. When did you become an anime/manga fan? How did it start? ============ Kinda hard to say. I was certainly an anime fan before I knew what anime was. I grew up in New York City; as a kid, when my folks would take me to the village, we'd always stop in at a toy shop called Second Childhood. That st...

Here I am. I deeply apologize for having taken SO damn long with this. It's partly due to my work schedule, partly due to laziness, partly due to my dealing with my Mom's cancer, and partly dealing with her recent death. Honestly, though, it was mostly laziness. :-/ ANYWAY!!!! It was great to meet y...

Amuro's involvement is unknown to me. Could be, I guess... Apparently, we are going to learn deep secrets of the U.C. era. Hmmm.

As Buddha said, "We'll see..."

You and me both, Judo... You and me both! I've become very fond of running RPGs online, via message boards. Never thought I would, but I found I really dig it. I used www.rpol.net to run a StarBlade Battalion Mekton game (using Virtual-On mecha) for a year or so, but then I got a girlfriend and it f...

Well, I actually was talking about a Minovski Bomb, not a Psycho-bomb... BUT! The idea of the Psycho-Bomb is GREAT! In fact, all of a sudden there are a lot of good ideas here. I don't buy the zombies idea, though. However, some kind of unforseen side-effect would be very cool. Oh! Perhaps some of t...

Finally, after more than 25 years, Tomino gets to see what he originally wanted: a Gundam that is all white.

This thing is pretty spiffy-looking. Plus I like how the NT-D gimmick is a logical intermediate bevelopment between the Psycoframe and the Biocomputer/Neo-Psycommu.

Good points. I'll have to try sketching a few MSs with multiple, converging eyes. It sounds like a fun experiment. Good idea, Newton! Also, how tickled was I that you mentioned Demonbane?!? That is my favorite mecha design venue of... hell, practically of this millennium! As for innovation in Gundam...

Another thing I'd been wondering about was the possibility of some kind of "Minovski Bomb". However, Mark said that it really wouldn't be any more effective than a normal nuke. However, some kind of "Psyco-bomb" might be interesting. A device designed to spew Psycho-wave feedback into all Psycommu s...

Well, I think there must be some specific series of mecha within SRW that people are thinking of. I'm not sure which ones... not the SRX team. Perhaps, uh, hmmm... the Excellence line of mechs?

I don't like the Gundam designs in this new show, the designs like screw off from SRX team. Maybe they can combine too, (super robot gundam 00). Actually, I think it would be really cool to someday see a combiner super robot gundam. (Of course, that's basically what the SRX is.) I don't reall...

Wasps do sound like a reasonable development, Newton. They'd be, I suppose, an intermediate development between your basic Bit/Funnel and a full-blown remote Mobile Suit (like the G-Bits from Gundam X). Biotechnology-based mecha is indeed a direction which Gundam hasn't taken much. (Yet.) That being...
