I think you bring up some good points Grebo Guru. Thanks man. I for one have been very dissappointed with people going overboard on Eva's influences in the medium. Sorry to disappoint you. However, Eva was a huge influence on the industry. Im not saying it came out of nowhere -- of course it is a p...

So where was I? Oh yeah... Poseidal was saying: I forgot about the Macross clones there. And Dragonar, which I was somewhat underwhelemed by. Yeah, there sure were a lot of Macross clones. And Dragonar? Yeah, that was an odd show. A Gundam clone which came along before Gundam started cloning itself....

Image 1: Combattler V, Getter-1, Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, Daimos, Voltes V, and in the background is... that dragon thing whose head forms Gaiking's torso. D'oh!!! I didn't know one... Arg. Embarassing. Image 2: Daitarn 3, Dunbine, Gundam, the tank in the background is Tryder G7, and the flying h...

Whenever I see stuff like "So and so is a Rei clone" I want to vomit You know, I've really tried to be reasonable here, to be nice and considerate of other people (because it has been pointed out to me that at times I am not) and to just generally be fair. I mean, for example, I think that RahXepho...

Well guys, finding the URLs for those pics is part of a larger project. I really, really need to dump a heap of URLs into the Links section here. Ive got so many Japanese mecha art sites bookmarked I can barely sort through them all myself!

Yes, "Transformers: Energon" (or "Transformers: Super Link" in Japan). It has nice CG mecha graphics and many interesting story details. It is a sequel series to "Transformers: Armada" (or "Transformers: Micron Legend" in Japan), which was awful. However, Energon does have a lot of cool elements... ...

Bow wow wow! Ok, so let's see here... Really? I never thought of Eva when I first saw Nadesico; in fact, if anything, it's like Macross: Civilian character gets enlisted onto a ship that, for a time, is Earth's only defense against alien invaders... over time, both species wind up bonding over cultu...

FX! That's it. The classification of the motorcycle-mechs from Dead Heat was "FX". Did anyone ever see "Dead Heat"? It was a 1-episode OVA done in 3-D! (yep, glasses and all) The mecha were humanoid motorcycles -- imagine a mech whose torso is a motorcycle body (the headlight is on the chest), has n...

DAYUM, Newton! I'm impressed! Yep, that's the one alright. Maybe I should hook Tachyon up with some scans and Gears could have a Gonfalon section, eh?

And yes, Demonbane did have some ettchi stuff in it. But H or no, the main mech is AMAZING.
